Ultimate Bucket List for Singles

Because life's too short to be single and boring

Ultimate Bucket List for Singles

As we all know, I'm incredibly single, so as someone completely unattached I have a lot of time to do literally whatever I want. Most of this time is spent on facebook or eating, but sometimes when life gets a little boring you need to shake it up. A while back I found an article called "The Ultimate Single Girl Bucket List" , and I fell in love with it! Well until I realized it was more of a single girl at 25, can't rent a convertible till then, so between what they had and some ideas of my own, I came up with a new list for anyone looking to spice up their life.

-Sing as loud as you can in the shower (If you're still in college, that means singing for the whole floor basically, have fun)

-Tell a stranger they're beautiful

-Go totally commando for the day

-Spend an hour in an elevator, have a few conversations

-Buy a custom cake that says something embarrassing and take it for a walk

-Dance on a table

-Buy a stranger a drink

-Wink at someone across the room, (and hold eye contact after)

-Spend a whole night using a fake name and accent, then go make some new friends

-Read a new book you wouldn't normally choose

-Find a really hard recipe and make it

-Go to the park and just enjoy nature for a while (without your phone!!!)

-Watch the scariest movie of the year

-Grab some friends and do a OTH Dare Night

-Schedule a nap into your day (sleep is our friend)

-Go check out the museums near you

-Spend an ENTIRE DAY unplugged

-Go on a date with someone different than you usually go for (stay open minded and if they're that bad crawl out the bathroom window)

-Find any free concert and just go, don't look at the music just go.

-Spend an extra 20 minutes in the shower (one day without hot water never killed anyone)

-Explore the city (or another large area near you)

-Makeout with a stranger (make sure it's consensual)

-Give a funny name at Starbucks, and own it

-Watch a silent movie

-Take picture of everything for an entire day

-Plan a roadtrip with friends and go

-Watch the sunrise and set in the same day

-Try food from another culture (i.e. fried grasshoppers or crocodile)

-Go skinny dipping (even if you've already done this do it again, it;s too much fun to only do once)

-Lastly, keep an open heart and mind everyday of the rest of your life, because you never know what could happen and who you will meet.

Life is too short to be anything less than fabulous and full adventure. So whether it be backpacking through jungles with no map or making time for yourself to take a nap, make this life a good one. You only get one.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
