I have the hardest time with breakups.

In my life, it's not a real break up if we haven't broken up at least two times prior to the breakup spat currently taking place.

I'm a safety dater. I will go back to ex's at the drop of the hat because 1) I am too afraid to put myself out there for new dating, 2) They are my comfort; my safety net or 3) I just don't want to be single anymore.

But lucky for me, I've created the Ultimate 'Boy Bye' Playlist to listen to when I need a little more encouragement to stick to my guns and remember that there was a reason that we broke up in the first place.

1) "Needed Me" - Rihanna

'You needed me
Ooh, you needed me
To feel a little more and give a little less
Know you hate to confess
But, baby, who, you needed me'

2) "Send my Love (To Your New Lover)" - Adele

'Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more'

3) "DONE." - The Band Perry

'You're one bridge I'd like to burn
Bottle up the ashes, smash the urn
I'm through with you'

4) "Shout Out to My Ex" - Little Mix

'This is a shout out to my ex
Heard he in love with some other chick
Yeah yeah, that hurt me, I'll admit
Forget that boy, I'm over it'

5) "Whistle While You Work It" - Katy Tiz

'That's why you gotta
Never let 'em see you down, see you down
Gotta smile while you're hurting
And whistle while you work it'

6) "Died On The Table" - Eh440

'Boy, I'm over it cause you don't see me crying
No, we're past the point of trying to revive it
Say goodbye to what we used to be
This love died on the table'

7) "Alarm" - Anne-Marie

'I'm better than this, I know my worth
I might be getting what I deserve
But I ain't sticking 'round for the rerun
What's done is done'

8) Comeback - Ella Eyre

'When he returns he puts you in a situation
But it's too late to have that kinda conversation
It's not your job to show this boy some education, no
Now ain't it funny how we never seem to work it out'

9) "Feeling Myself" - Nicki Minaj

'I'm feelin' myself, I'm feelin' myself
I'm feelin' my, feelin' myself'

10) "You're Such A" - Hailee Steinfeld

'You're such a
Difficult little Devil
Trying to put it back together
Cause you see I'm doing better
Without you now'

11) "Hair" - Little Mix

'You need to get your phone, erase that number
Don't call him back 'cause he don't deserve that
And when you see him in the club
Just flip your hair, don't show him any love
'Cause you've had enough'

12) "Good as Hell" - Lizzo

'Come now, come dry your eyes
you know you a star, you can touch the sky
I know that it’s hard but you have to try
if you need advice let me simplify
if he don’t love you anymore
just walk your fine *ss out the door'

13) "GQ" - Lola Coca

'Stop wasting my time
Even on the cover of GQ
I am never going home with you
A leather jacket don't impress me'

14) "Sorry" - Beyonce

'He trying to roll me up (I ain't sorry)
I ain't picking up (I ain't sorry)
Headed to the club (I ain't sorry)
I ain't thinking 'bout you (I ain't sorry)'

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
