There have been hair bands, girl groups, and southern rockers, but nothing can compare to the boy band. Because of their dance moves, eye contact, and Justin Timerlake's ramen noodle hair, boy bands have captured tween hearts since the 90s. Here is a list of what I believe are the top 20 boy band songs with videos for a very special throwback.
20. "True To Your Heart"-98 Degrees and Stevie Wonder
This song often gets overlooked since it takes place at the end of a movie during the credits. However, it is still one of the best.
19. "Incomplete"-Backstreet Boys
This song debuted at number 1 in Australia and was in the top ten in 14 countries. However, this song is very bittersweet. It would be the Backstreet Boys' last single.
18. "Step By Step"-New Kids On The Block
Highest selling single from the group, but also raised all of our standards that the group really didn't live up to. But we still love them and that's what matters.
17. "I'll Be Your Everything"-Youngstown
This one is kind of underrated. There is an original version, but also a Disney version that was featured in Inspector Gadget. Either way, it's super catchy. So, who cares?
16. "Summer Girls"-LFO
Okay, we have to give the writers credit for writing super silly lyrics such as "New Kids On The Block had a bunch of hits, Chinese food makes me sick," but it is still a great song. Definitely can give you a laugh.
15. "You Got It (The Right Stuff)"-New Kids On The Block
NKOTB definitely has the right stuff. Oh yeah, and remember how Marky Mark looks in this video?
14. "I Swear"-All-4-One
Even though it is a cover, the boys of All-4-One steal our hearts with their velvet voices and commitment.
13."As Long As You Love Me"-Backstreet Boys
Everyone should know that the Backstreet Boys will love us no matter what...well, as long as we love them.
12. "Here We Go"-NSync
If you didn't scream "NSync has got the flow," then you're not doing it right. Honestly, this song is perfect for when you are on the way to the beach with your best friends and the windows down.
11. "MMMBop"-Hanson
If I'm completely honest, then this is one of the most annoying songs on the planet, but this wouldn't be a boy band hits list if it wasn't on here.
10. "My Everything"-98 Degrees
As the second single from 98 Degrees, this song was not extremely successful, but the effort was definitely there. But the video did succeed in giving us Nick and Drew Lachey.
9. "Larger Than Life"-Backstreet Boys
Top-ten hit in 14 countries, number 25 in the US, the video holds a Guinness World Record, AND it was number one on MTV's Total Request Live. Need I say more?
8. "The Hardest Thing"-98 Degrees
Honestly, it wouldn't have been that hard if you didn't cheat. But, the song is still catchy and it deserves a spot on this list. At least you realized your mistakes. #ForgiveAndForget?
7. "Burning Up"-The Jonas Brothers
I know, I know, The Jonas Brothers. Are they really a boyband? Well yes. Yes they are. Now shut up and stare at a young Nick Jonas.
6. "I Want It That Way"-Backstreet Boys
They made tank tops and dress pants look great in this video. Fun fact of the day: whether you believe it or not, this song was inspired by a Metallica song.
5. "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)"-New Kids On The Block
A ballad that spent 6 weeks on the Top 10 and reached #1 on June 17, 1989, this song shows commitment. Forever is a long time and even if it may scare us, we have to applaud NKOTB for their devotion.
4. "I Want You Back"-NSync
They're all I ever wanted, they're all I ever needed, yeaaahhh. So, tell me what to do now, cause I want NSync back.
3. "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)"-Backstreet Boys
I love the song, but I'm still trying to figure out this music video. Still, if you don't like this song, then you need to reevaluate your life choices.
2. "Bye Bye Bye"-NSync
"Might sound crazy, but it ain't no lie, Bye, bye, bye" *drops mic*
1. "All Or Nothing"-O-Town
And here at number one we have O-Town with All or Nothing. O-Town had very few hits, but this doesn't mean that the hits they did have weren't amazing. This is quite possibly one of the most underrated songs.
