In a classroom far away, the new semester starts by professors start giving out syllabi that no one ever reads. You and the other students in the class are mingling with everyone getting to know each other. You exchange numbers with your fellow classmates and add each other on GroupMe, Snapchat, and Instagram. As the semester starts to push forward a little bit, you start getting ready for your first test and you are stressing out because you no clue what to expect or how hard the test will be.

While you are binge watching Netflix you realize that finals week is coming up soon, and you know you have to do whatever it takes to get an A or, as some students say, "Cs, get degrees," and that includes losing days of sleep or actually sleeping in the library in the most awkward positions instead of a bed .

The week or two leading up to finals is always the worst weeks in the semester besides finals because professors are trying to cram new chapters that won't even be on the test into our brains, and they all come up with this master plan to assign everything all at the same time so that we as college students are stressed beyond belief. And, when we ask for bonus points, they come up with some of the toughest ways to get bonus points.

Urban Dictionary sums up finals week pretty well, "The worst week of a college student's life. Finals week involves pulling an all nighter to reverse the months of slacking that have killed their grades. Finals week involves a lot of stress and very little sleep, the college student will be on edge the entire time, thus it is not a good time to screw with them by playing practical jokes or something you might find funny. "

Finals week is about professors making up questions and saying they won't be on the test but in fact they are. It's about calculating the total amount of points you need on your last test to pass the class. It's about choosing how much food to bring with you because when your supply is low at 2 a.m., there aren't many places open.

It's about you either feeling like you studied too much or not enough. It's about stuffing your face with food and not caring if anyone sees. It's about wearing the same thing you wore the day before. It's about staying up through the night to get in that last minute of studying before the test. It's about not getting any sleep for days.

Finals week is about procrastinating for hours and almost forgetting to study for that last final. You catch up on everything you've missed on Facebook, or you catch on your favorite Netflix Series.

Once finals week is over, you can finally relax and let your stress out by going home and sleeping the whole day. Then, the cycle starts over the next semester.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
