UFC 238: Will Cejudo Be A Champ Champ?

This weekend UFC 238 will be in Chicago, IL at the United Center with a fight card that is stacked from top to bottom. In the main event, the UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo will move up a division to face the #1 ranked Bantamweight in the division Marlon Moraes for the vacant UFC Bantamweight Championship after former 2-time champ TJ Dillashaw tested positive for performance enhancers. Marlon Moraes is currently on a 4 fight win streak and is coming off of a huge victory after he finished Raphael Assuncao within 2 minutes of the first round. The UFC Flyweight Champ Henry Cejudo was last in action at UFC Fight Night 143 when he defended his belt against T.J. Dillashaw who moved down a weight class to try and become a champ but was finished in the 1st round via TKO.

In the Co-main event, the UFC Woman's Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko is aiming to successfully defend her title for the first time against the #1 ranked Flyweight Jessica Eye. Valentina is aiming to have a dominant championship run as the UFC's Woman's Flyweight Champion as in her last bout she won the vacant title against former UFC woman's Strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk by unanimous decision in a dominant performance. The #1 ranked flyweight Jessica Eye is also coming off of a dominant win as MMAJunkies "Comeback Fighter Of 2018" defeated Katlyn Chookagian by unanimous decision to earn a shot .at Valentina Shevchenko.

The #4 ranked Lightweight Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone has a quick turn around fight against the former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion #3 ranked Tony "El Cuyuy" Ferguson in a fight that is more than likely to see the winner between UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier coming up in September. Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone is recently coming off of a huge victory just a few weeks ago when he put a brutal beating on Al Iaquinta in a fight which that went to the judges, and he won the fight by unanimous decision. He was also awarded his 17th fight bonus. "El Cuyuy" Tony Ferguson makes his return to the octagon after taking a minor hiatus to deal with some family and health issues. The former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion is coming of off a dominant win over "Showtime" Anthony Pettis at UFC 229: Khabib vs. Mcgregor last October.

#7 ranked Bantamweight Jimmie Riveria has his hands full as he will be facing rising star #9 ranked Bantamweight Petr Yan. Jimmie Riveria is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to top bantamweight contender the #3 ranked Aljamain Sterling who is on the prelim card that night. Petr Yan who has been on an absolute tear through the Bantamweight division recently defeated John Dodson via unanimous decision and is looking to make another statement with Jimmie Riveria.

To open up the main card heavyweights will clash as #11 ranked Tai "Bam Bam" Tuivasa will take on #13 Blago Ivanov. Tai Tuivasa is looking to brush off his most recent loss as he was defeated by Junior Dos Santos via TKO in the 2nd round after being hit with some brutal shots. Blago is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Ben Rothwell.
