As we are entering the 4th quarter of the year, everything is shaping out perfectly. There are too many fights to name and still yet to be announced as the Madison Square Garden card does not have a Main Event. Many suspect Jon Jones will headline the event as he has teased a potential return on his social media. Before we get to MSG in New York there are plenty of fights to be on the lookout for as all we can do is wait as we also anticipate the huge matchup between the returning Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Priorier.
At UFC 228 a match will take place that took a while to make. After his dispute with the UFC Yair Rodrigues was finally cleared up and he was not released by the organization like the media outlets said he was, Yair will face hot prospect Zabit Magomedsharipov. After the news was floating around that Yair was ducking fights no one really knew what was going to happen with the flashy young fighter. Finally, it was booked and Zabit also finally has a fight. These 2 extravagant fighters will have a clash of styles in a great fight to open up a crazy main card leading up to Darren Till facing off against Tyron Woodley for the Welterweight Championship.
Darren Till vs. the current Undisputed UFC Welterweight Champion "The Chosen One" Tyron Woodley is definitely a fight you do not wanna miss. Both of these gentlemen are opening up a lot more since the press conference they attended recently. Darren Till has expressed he wants to give Tyron everything he got and become the new Champion. Woodley on the other hand plans on proving why he has held the belt for long and would like to shut the young lion down from trying to take what is his. Tyron will be making his appearance in the Octagon for the fight time in 2 years.
Recently it has been announced that Derrick Lewis will face off against Alexander Volkov in what is to hopefully be a much better turn out than his last match against Francis Ngannou. Though Derrick got the decision victory, it definitely was not his best performance to date. Alexander Volkov is coming off a KO victory over Mix Martial Arts Veteran Fabricio Werdum. This fight will be the Co-Main Event for the fight everyone has been awaiting Conor Mcgregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight Championship.
It was announced a few weeks ago that the main event for UFC 229 would be the biggest fight in UFC history. "The Notorious" Conor Mcgregor will make his long-awaited return to e octagon to finally get the grudge match with the current Undefeated Undisputed UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. These 2 just have been itching to get at one another for a few years now. The hatred has been brewing, and everyone will be tuning into UFC 229 on October 6th to the hat will the outcome be when these titans finally clash.
