Alabama football also is known as where we kiss the floor Nick Saban walks on. The season is finally here and after waiting all this time some may need refreshers on why you should be pumped to cheer on the tide this year.
1. The weather
Okay I know most of you guys are probably thinking ew because it is 90 degrees before noon almost every day but when you are getting up for game day and headed out to the quad you are not focusing on the sweat (well maybe a little) but we go to school in the South! At least it doesn't snow at this time of year.
2. We may not have the best schedule but we are number one
OK, so maybe no one knows who Citadel is, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't go to the game and cheer on our boys.
3. The battle for Quarterbacks
Jalen and Tua. Need I say more?
4. The 4th quarter heart palpitations
We all get them. Whether you are at the game or watching it on TV, those moments where your heart skips a beat. We live for the moments we are on the edge of our seats.
5. The Yellowhammers
A day where the sun in beating down your back and you just want to cool off on the strip. Look no further than Galletes and their famous Yellowhammers will help you cool down!
6. Two words: Nick Saban
The GOAT. He is a legend.
7. The Iron Bowl is in T-Town
I don't know about y'all but it doesn't get any better when a huge game like the Iron Bowl takes place minutes away from where you sleep.
8. Our offense
We explode when we get on the field. These guys know the drill and even if they are freshman they have watched film for hours on end to make sure their footwork is done correctly.
9. We have energy!
Some SEC teams have players that are slowly getting injured or don't play the same as when they were freshmen. The Tide is on top and that the motivation that each of the players has on the field and we show it off the field!
10. We still get people wanting Bama when they shouldn't
"We want Bama?" Yeah, OK, guys we will see you at the National Championship.
11. Opening weekend in Florida? Heck yeah
I may be bias since I am a Floridian but the first game of the season taking place in Orlando is a prime neutral location.
12. There will be more mentioning of the famous 2nd and 26
No one will ever forget that moment. Until the day Alabama football becomes irrelevant (which is not going to be for a long time) we will always remember the 2nd and 26.
13. The smell of beer in town
No, I am not crazy. Waking up and walking to campus and already smelling the spilled Natural Light on the pavement and hearing the rattle of game day buttons makes it clear it is game day in the South!
The best is yet to come and that is when the Tide take on Tuscaloosa on September 8 against Arkansas State.
