Often, during your college experience, you'll find yourself dealing with annoying and often unnecessary things that make you want to tear your own hair out. Keep calm because I have just the thing to help. When I'm in need of advice to deal with the everyday grind, I often turn to television to give me the answers that I need. Where better to get help than from the wise-cracking imp himself, Tyrion Lannister?

Tyrion Lannister is a dwarf from the popular series, "Game of Thrones." He is known for his quick wit and love of both wine and prostitutes. He is often seen as the lowest of the low in his family, even though he is the one who stays alive, due to his cunning intelligence and quick thinking.

So, here I give you seven Tyrion Lannister quotes to get you through the week.

1. "A very small man can cast a very large shadow."

You may feel like an ant compared to the giants around you, but, no matter how little you feel, you can overcome.

2. "Never forget what you are."

In a world filled with people constantly picking at every little insecurity that you have, it is best to accept these faults and make them your own. Remember that no one else is or will ever be you.

3. "It's easy to confuse what is with what ought to be..."

Always remember that the ones you disagree with might not be in the right, but that doesn't mean that they do it with evil intent. They might have just confused what is for what ought to be.

4. "When you tear out a man's tongue..."

Never let those around you take your voice from you. They call you a liar and make fun of you, but, if they care so much to hurt you, then that means that they are scared of what you have to say.

5. "A mind needs books..."

Not everyone has the strength to fight in battle or the speed of an Olympic runner, but we all have minds.

6. "Death is so terribly final..."

Life may be tough, but never give it up because, if you give up on life, you give up on a whole world of possibilities.

7. "Everything's better with some wine in the belly."

Finally, live free, make mistakes and have fun. You only get one life, so make it a good one.

Hopefully, these quotes help those of you out there dealing with the annoying parts of life. Just remember that it is not always the biggest or the strongest who win, but those with the brains and the will that end up on top.

Raise your glass of wine for Tyrion, the smartest man in "Game of Thrones."

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.

Grey's Anatomy

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. In her book, The Year of Yes she states, "I have spent more time with Meredith and Christina then many of my actual friends...When you watched TV, even spending a full hour with Christina once a week, you were likely spending more time with her then you spent with most people in your life. That relationship was real."
