21-year-old Jordan Spieth became the 79th champion to wear the coveted green jacket after winning The Masters at Augusta National Golf Club Sunday afternoon.
Spieth was the wire-to-wire leader through all four rounds of the tournament. He wowed the crowd as he continued to stay ahead of big names like Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and Rory McIlroy.
Spieth was the second runner up to Bubba Watson in last year's Masters tournament, however, he was second to none as he began to break record after record the further he played in the tournament.
Not only did Spieth become the second youngest champion in the tournament's history, only five months and a few days older than Tiger Woods was when he set the record in 1993, he also scored 28 birdies , the most in Masters history.
Besides the previous, Jordan Spieth, also tied Tiger Woods' 72 hole record at -18 and was the first ever player to achieve -19 under in all of the tournament's 79 years of existence.
If it isn't blatantly obvious, I think Jordan Spieth has a bright future ahead of him. Besides his tremendous efforts on the green, he is also super involved in charities and philanthropy off of the golf course.
Jordan founded the Jordan Spieth Family foundation that brings awareness and attention to special needs youth, military families, and junior golf. Spieth told the PGA Tour that his inspiration comes from his little sister Ellie who has special needs. In an interview with the PGA Tour Spieth continued on to say that, "I'm her biggest fan and she's my biggest fan."
Whether it's on the golf course or off, Jordan is showing the entire world that he means business. Don't take your eyes off of him for a while ladies and gentleman, he has only just begun.
I can't wait to see what wonderful ways he will continue to wow the world with his golf talents, but I can almost guarantee that it won't even compare to the wonderful ways he will use his foundation and heart for people to change the way we look at charitable foundations forever.
To say the least, Jordan Spieth has got to be one of the coolest and most well-rounded guys around. We are so proud and happy for you, Jordan. We can't wait to see what's next!
