Canandaigua is a town that not only do many people reside in, but also a place where many people vacation. It is especially popular for its expensive lakefront homes that make it an attractive place to visit in the summer. It is also home to a concert venue called CMAC. Although, recently it has been a place of investigations.

On Thursday August 18th, two dead bodies were found within just hours and miles of each other. The first body was found at 11 AM and was extracted from the water near the city pier. It has not yet been identified and, once extracted, was sent to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.

The second body was found just four hours after the first around 1 PM and was found behind a Pizza Hut in the city of Canandaigua. It has been sent off to Geneva General Hospital to also find an identity and cause of death.

These two cases have not yet seemed to be linked, according to police. More information will come in the next few days as to who these people are and what exactly happened to them. Police have also said that residents should not feel unsafe in the town of Canandaigua.
