Life With Twins As Your Best Friends

Two are better than one.

Life With Twins As Your Best Friends

Having twins as best friends is a unique experience. You love these two people to the moon and back, as they do you, and you see them both all the time. Twins can be so alike it boggles the mind, but they can also be so polar opposite that you wonder how two people could look so similar, yet be different. Anyone with twins as best friends can adamantly attest to the fact that no matter how often you see twins together, it is no guarantee that they think or act the same at all. We can identify with this complex relationship dynamic, which is impossible to explain fully to someone who does not have twin best friends. The following article is an attempt to shed some light on what life is like with twins as your best friends.

1. First, you love them both so much, and could never choose between them.

2. Two is better than one.

Especially when the two is your two favorite people.

3. If one is busy, you can always see if the other is free.

4. An invitation to hang out with one is an automatic invitation to hang out with both twins.

Vice versa, inviting one to hang out means you are implicitly inviting their sibling along as well.

5. You are the epitome of the three Musketeers.

6. You are an adopted sibling -- or a third twin, if you will.

7. You have more articles of clothing to “borrow.”

8. You always have two people to go to for advice.

Their advice doesn’t always match, which can be even more helpful in the end.

9. You are always in the middle.

Always -- whether it be in the middle of a group hug or in the middle of a sibling rivalry that you are attempting to break up. Warning: this can get messy.

10. Your twins will love you unconditionally.

The love of a twin can be so much stronger than that of the average person, because a twin has lived an entire life strapped at the hip to another human being. No matter how patient or easygoing you are, it takes some serious love and understanding to always deal with another human being’s baggage and irritating habits.

11. Twins are the most selfless people.

Because from birth they have had to share everything with another person. So, whether it be their clothes, advice, experiences, or support, your twins will always be there to share with you and help you through life.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
