Twenty Things I've Learned Before Turning Twenty

During my twenty years of life, I've learned a lot. From simple things like saying "please" and "thank you" to more valuable life lessons. I'd like to thank my parents for that, but the people that I've surrounded myself with also helped me learn from my experiences. While most were good, and some bad, here are twenty things I've learned before turning twenty

1. Learn to love others

2. Be kind to one another

3. Don't always stick your nose up at everything

4. If you work at it, you will be rewarded

5. Study more

6. If he texts you at 12am, he doesn't care about you

7. Your first heartbreak will not be the end of you

8. You will get over him

9. Your parents are trying their hardest

10. Always say "thank you"

11. Your grades do not define you

12. Some of your "best friends" aren't really good friends

13. People will come and go, but family stays

14. Join more things

15. Save your money

16. You don't have to be like everyone else

17. Don't give up on what you love to do

18. Always be confident

19. Don't be so judgmental

20. Don't be in such a rush to grow up

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
