You have heard it more than once; your twenties are the hardest years of your life. You spend a lot of your time confused and lost. It is easy to let society and its expectations influence you into thinking you should graduate college, find a significant other, get married, and have your first child at a specific age (pshh, it does not work like that). But, that is the issue… those expectations are not healthy, as they cause pressure and a significant amount of unhappiness in your twenties.
So, here are twenty-five tips to help you live a happier life your twenties:
1. You are not the only one who feels lost.
2. Do not let others make you feel guilty about what you eat.
3. Make sure you do things on your own time… there is no such thing as “perfect timing”.
4. It is okay to spoil yourself.
5. You should not have to explain yourself to anyone.
6. Cut toxic people out of your life. You will not regret it.
7. Forgive others on your own time.
8. Alone time is SO good for you.
9. You are allowed to say no to others.
10. Social media is full of lies.
11. Some people will never give you an answer for their behavior or sudden absence; so, let it go and move on.
12. Do not believe all the bad things you hear about others.
13. Take the trip. Or buy the concert ticket.
14. Do not settle, whether that be with a significant other or job.
15. It is okay to make a mistake. Learn from it and avoid making the same mistake more than once.
