Tweets That Prove J.K. Rowling Is Perfect

So, we all know how amazing J.K. Rowling is. She’s an inspiration and a role model, someone everyone should look up to. She came from basically nothing and became a billionaire, the true “started from the bottom, now we’re here." Besides her brilliant imagination that created the whole Potterverse, Rowling has a beautiful soul. She lost her billionaire status by donating so much to charity, and she stands up for others. She's constantly slamming haters with the wittiest remarks, supporting those she cares for with words of encouragement, and overall, actively engaging with her Twitter followers.

1. Serena Williams

After Rowling showed her support for Williams on Twitter, one hater claimed the only reason for Williams' success was because her body was "built like a man." Rowling absolutely proved this to be false by responding with a picture of Serena in a skin tight dress showing off her curves.

2. NOT a Prequel

With Rowling's new play coming in 2016, there have been many people wondering what "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will be about. These tweets might give you a little insight.

She starts off with these three tweets, constantly telling her followers that her new play will NOT be a prequel. She even exclusively revealed it.

However, more people kept questioning if she was positive about it not being a prequel. She started to wonder if it was indeed a prequel. Her rage kept increasing, and she had to resist temptation not to curse all the questioners into oblivion.

Eventually, Rowling put a big fat warning sticker on the banner of her new play, telling people that it is NOT a prequel. Thank you for clarifying about a million times.

3. Dumbledore and Gandalf

When WBC decided that they would picket a Dumbledore/Gandalf marriage, Rowling responded with the perfect witty comeback.

When someone tried to chastise Rowling for giving the WBC attention, she rebutted with an even more perfect response than the one to WBC. It wasn't that she was trying to change the views of the WBC; she wanted gay kids to see someone would stand up for them.

4. Matthew Lewis

We all know how attractive Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the "Harry Potter" movies, became over the years of filming the series. It was no surprise that when Matthew Lewis modeled for Attitude, a British magazine, a frenzy of excitement ensued from his fans. It has caused such a frenzy that it caught the attention of Rowling.

No matter what, though, Rowling showed that she would always support him.

5. Gay People Look No Different

One of Rowling's followers asked her why she made Dumbledore gay, saying she couldn't see the headmaster that way. Rowling answered with the most obvious answer.

Thank you, J.K. Rowling, for making the world a better place with your humor and wit, one tweet at a time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
