'Twas A Night On Mill Ave

An ASU College Kid's Christmas

19
'Twas A Night On Mill Ave

Twas the night of the pregame, and all through the house

Everyone was drinking, it’s time to get roused

The bottles were out and the red cups were there

Someone shouted “mill” and we all said a quick prayer

What sins tonight were we to expect

What are we kidding we know we’ll get wrecked

And me with my phone pulling up the uber app

I knew there was no going back after one single tap

When before we knew it second thoughts didn’t matter

We pulled up to Mill Ave and broke into the chatter

Away to CASA I flew like a flash

“Give me a bucket so I can get trashed”

I checked out hot peeps as they passed by

Downing my drink so I wouldn’t be shy

My bucket was finished and I gave it a throw

I rounded up the squad as we discussed where to go

Cue Club, or Gringo, or somewhere we can get frisky

But we knew our hearts were set out on Hefe or Whiskey

When what to my wondering eyes should appear

My crush that I had from my freshman year

With my blood pumping and my friends ready to quit

I said “shots on me and let's take them quick!”

We partied and danced and kept drinking all night

I knew if I pulled up my bank account it would give me a fright

Now vodka, now tequila, now gin and jack

On hangover on regrets oh I'm gonna yak

I ran to the bathroom as fast as I can

But someone caught me and put a beer in my hand

They asked for a dance and I didn’t know why

My makeup was smudged and I wasn’t alright

But down went the beer and we went out on the floor

But then I saw my friends and bolted straight to the door

It was almost two

And there was only one thing left to do

We made our way past 6th and past 5th

Turned down the street and Moonshine was amidst

We saw more friends and decided to join them

But we knew it was a bad idea because we’d probably annoy em

We started to talk but I was already gone

I made my way to the bull and said “turn it on!”

My friends all giggled and took their snapchats

And I was wishing I had changed these wedges to flats

Then I made eye contact with the guy at the bar

I made my way over, he wasn’t too far

We talked and laughed for what seemed like sec

Then before I knew it he was trying to make out with my neck

I dashed away to my group of friends

And we knew this was when our night should end

We contemplated how we were going to get back

But settled on Spinelli’s for a quick late night snack

Nothing like a slice of pizza to help a hangover

And talking about the events of the night all over

Then we called all our separate lyfts

And gave our clumsy goodbyes in a swift

Soon I was back home in my own bed

Falling asleep with the satisfaction of a good night spent

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
