'Twas the night before Reading Day when all through downtown,
Not a student was studying, the college seemed shutdown;
Frat boys carefully cradled cases of Natty in their arms,
While Mcalli kids strived to avoid the constant fire alarms;
Once the lab practicals were over and the lectures were done,
the only way to celebrate was to enjoy a burrito and some sun;
Freshmen crowded the dining hall hoping for decent food to devour,
while the seniors stumbled home from a long happy hour;
Silence echoed throughout the empty Addlestone floors,
while the bars on king street served extra long pours;
The students felt that they owed it to Clyde,
to selfie with the statue and display their cougar pride;
Drunk girls sang the top 40 throughout the dark streets,
while the guys staggered to Quan's in hopes of great eats;
Surely tonight everyone will act a fool,
because indeed today was the last day of school.
