Once school gets out-summer truly begins. During the summer I don't have any homework to do; all I have is free time it seems--I'm not complaining. I do a lot of the same things many of you do when you have free time in the summer: playing in the pool, sitting around bonfires, hanging out with friends, etc. One thing that I excel at is binge watching TV series. Here is a list (in no particular order) and a little description of each series that I highly recommend for your summer bingeing.
1. Dexter
This is a fantastic show for anyone who likes cop shows. Dexter, the main character, is a blood splatter analyst during the day and a serial killer at night. He acts as a vigilante of sorts, going after bad guys who have avoided getting caught by the police.
2. Scandal
The name says it all for this riveting series. The series revolves around Olivia Pope, the main character, and Fitzgerald Grant the third, the President of the United States. Scandals of all sorts play out and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode leads to days of bingeing.
3. Orange Is the New Black
There are a lot of skeptics out there, but trust me, this show is worth it. In the first season the show focuses on the main character, Piper and her story before she ended up in prison. As the seasons keep rolling out, the emphasis shifts to all of the other inmates in Litchfield.

6. The Vampire Diaries
Stefan, Elena, and Damon are the main characters in a world filled with vampires, witches, and many other mystical creatures. Although this series is known for having very attractive actors and actresses, the plot is intricate and each episode leaves you with a cliffhanger.
7. The Office
This series is a classic. It follows a relatable group of people (well, maybe not Dwight) who work in a paper company, Dunder Mifflin. It is light, comedic, and easy to follow. Try hard to not scream at the television whenever Michael Scott opens his mouth!

10. Game of Throne
Known for extreme sexual content and controversial concepts, this series is truly unique. Some would say no character is considered untouchable as you quickly find out in the first season. There are many different groups trying to rise up to rule the land. There is a healthy balance of character and plot development to keep you on your toes every episode.
11. How I Met Your Mother
Through many flashbacks, a father is recounting the long story of how he met his wife to his children. Through a series of wacky girlfriends, crazy experiences with his friends, and many laughs this series is guaranteed not to bore you.

This show is humorously known as the show about nothing. It is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. It follows the day to day lives of a group of friends in New York City.
13. Big Bang Theory
A dumb blonde moves into an apartment right across from two very intelligent physicists. The show follows them and their friends as their relationships develop. However, it is good for anyone who doesn't know a thing about science because the story line is light and comical.
14. Arrow
Oliver Queen, a rich playboy, gets lost at sea and returns to Starling City a completely different person. He acquires new survival skills while stuck on the remote island that he uses as a vigilante to help rid the city of bad influences.
15. House
This series follows Dr. Greg House and his fellow doctors as they diagnose very rare and difficult medical cases. Dr. House, a brilliant doctor, struggles with a drug addiction and extremely poor people skills throughout the series. He takes great, oftentimes outrageous and unthinkable risks when treating patients all while poking fun and making satirical comments.
16. Parks and Recreation
The writers of The Office created this show following Leslie Knope as she juggles beautifying Pawnee, Indiana and advancing her career. The characters and plot are light and the show is easy to follow. It is guaranteed to make you laugh every episode.

Emma Swan, raised in foster care and unknowingly the daughter of Prince Charming and Snow White, finds her way out of New York City and into a little town called Storybrooke where fairy tales come to life. The show goes in-between realms showing how the characters struggle to beat the evil forces that continue to try to cover everything in darkness.
