The 90's was a time of the Golden Ages when it came to television. Waking up early on Saturday mornings and coming home after school was always a race in my house to see who could get to the TV first. For a number of reasons, society has become obsessed with being nostalgic. While the entertainment industry has revamped a few shows from our childhood, these are a few that need to come back.
1. Rugrats
Whether this show was your favorite cartoon or not, you've heard of the Rugrats. Waking up and greeting Tommy and Angelica Pickles was always the highlight of your morning.
2. Saved By the Bell
Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski were your power couple, and A.C. Slater's dimples were the dreamiest. I'm sure at one point or another, we all hoped that one day we could find a group of friends just like the students roaming the halls of Bayside Highschool.
3. Hey Arnold
You guessed it, the football head we all know and love. Arnold's adventures and Helga's secret love for Arnold were always comical. What a classic.
4. All That
All That was a pivotal show in the 90's. This show was the transition from watching cartoon characters to watching real actors. From watching all of the skits and jokes, we couldn't wait to grow up into teenagers.
5. Dexter's Laboratory
Cartoon Network had a handful of good cartoons, but Dexter's Laboratory was hilarious. We all could relate to Dexter whenever his sister Dee Dee knocked on his door at unnecessary unwanted times.
6. Full House
Have Mercy! As we all know, Netflix made it's best effort to try and revamp Full House into a spin-off called Fuller House. Nothing tops the original cast. Uncle Jesse, Joey, baby Michelle, and even Comet!
7. Friends
It's safe to say that we weren't all watching Friends as little children. For the few of us that had limited channels, NBC was always a resort. Ross and Rachel and Monica and Chandler would always make you laugh, but lets not forget Joey and Phoebe.
8. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was Will Smiths big break for acting. But, let's not forget his rapping. For a whole minute before each episode, you can't deny that you spit out the lyrics word-for-word of the theme song. Reruns are great, but imagine the Fresh Prince made a comeback. It'd have you dancing the Carlton!
I mean, Netflix is convenient but not everyone watches the same thing. Sitting down for your 8PM show with your friends and family was a great feeling. Or taping over the next new episode via VCR whenever you knew you were going to miss out on it. What a great sense of nostalgia!
