We are having an entertainment drought. Due to COVID-19, many of us have already seen everything there is to see on Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, Showtime, ESPN and other networks. However, now that many television networks have finally finished final production on their shows, due to the nation reopening, we could now watch new content for our favorite shows and our soon to be favorite shows. I'm going to list my top 5 shows along with where and when the shows come out, and some details on what it has in store for us.
AMC: The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond

It is amazing that all three AMC shows of the Walking Dead Universe will be shown in the same month. The anticipated Season 10 finale of "The Walking Dead" will finally premiere on October 4th at 9pm. It will be immediately followed by the new spin-off "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" which highlights the life of children born after the zombie apocalypse. The following week, the new season of "Fear The Walking Dead" will premier its sixth season in the same time as the main series shows finale. This by far is my favorite show and this month will finally conclude the Whisper War of the previous two seasons along with introducing the new show.
CBS: The Amazing Race

This season has been reported to have been filmed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic taking place. It is said 11 teams are going to race for the 1 million dollar prize and that the season will start in Trinidad and Tobago. The teams included are NFL stars DeAngelo & Gary, along with Olympic hurdlers Kellie & LaVonne. This show will fill in the slot for "Survivor" after the ending of "Big Brother: All-Stars. "
Hulu's: Monsterland
Hulu Now Available in the US for the Nintendo Switch | FlickrHulu Now Available in the US for the Nintendo Switch | FlickrHulu's new regional horror anthology stars Bill Camp, Mike Colter, Roberta Colindrez, Kaitlyn Dever and Taylor Schilling. This eight episode series will premiere on Hulu October 2nd. This shows is based on a collection of short stories by Nathan Ballingrud's called "North America Lake Monsters", created by Mary Lewis. It is a creepy film about a small town that has multiple monsters within it, blurring the lines between good and evil. According to Dever "The whole idea of the show is trying to cope with your inner monster," stating that "everyone has one, and maybe it's inescapable." The largest reason I am highly anticipating this show is that my cousin, Steven Gift, makes an appearance on the show.
Disney +: The Mandalorian
File:The Mandalorian.svg - Wikimedia CommonsFile:The Mandalorian.svg - Wikimedia CommonsDisney's and Lucasfilm's "The Mandalorian" already premiered its first season with a highly successful reception. The creator of the show Jon Favreau created the story of a protective rough father figure that hunts people with a powerfully mysterious child (that is technically older than him.) This Star Wars spin-off show will debut its second season on October 30th in the Disney + streaming service. Its highly anticipated second season is said to have included Ahsoka Tano portrayed by Rosario Dawson, the first live portrayal of the character ever on screen.
Netflix's: Social Distance

Netflix's new show "Social Distance" follows the quarantine life of COVID-19, with all the challenges that came from this pandemic and all the struggles that have been overcome. This eight-part anthology series was enterally filmed during quarantine and was created and executive-produced by Hilary Weisman Graham, starring Danielle Brooks, Mike Colter, Guillermo Diaz and Oscar Nuñez. Although we have lived through this and many still are, it would be interesting to see how it will be portrayed on television. This show will premier on October 15th on Netflix.
