Recently, I have been watching TV shows from my childhood because I have a lot of time on my hands. These are the show you would not even think of watching over again or for the first time. There are a lot of people I know who binge watch "Grey’s Anatomy" or "Friends" in their spare time, but these show are different. Here are some show you might want to consider watching from the very beginning.
1. Full House
When Fuller House came out, it reminded me of the show I watched while growing up. I just had to watch the show again. In Full House, Danny Tanner is widowed with three little girls named DJ, Stephanie and Michelle. Danny asks for the help of his brother in law, Jesse, and best friend, Joey. The show grows with the girls and takes the viewers through the ups and downs of growing up. The show offers lessons we learn every day.2. Sabrina the Teenage Witch
I remember watching this show all the time. Sabrina is a teenage girl who lives with her two aunts, Hilda and Zelda, and learns that she is a witch. Did I mention she has a magical talking cat named Salem? She goes through high school with her newfound gift while trying to figure out who she is. This show showcases the 90’s throughout the whole series.3. What I like About You
This show is about two sisters, Holly and Val, who live together after their father moves away to Japan. The sisters, who have a huge age gap, learn how to live with each other through the ups and downs of love and life. I remember watching the reruns of this show all the time and enjoyed the whole series.4. Glee
Glee is by far my favorite TV show. The show follows a group of misfits, the New Directions who can sing really well. Will Schuester is the director of the New Directions who is struggling to keep the music program alive in the school system. The club is comprised of Rachel Berry, Finn Hudson and Kurt Hummel. The club also includes jocks, cheerleaders and the nerds. You see the group go through the ups and down of high school, college, and competitions. Viewers will learn that it is okay to be yourself and not let others bring you down.5. Gossip Girl
Hello Upper East Siders. This show perfectly represents our generation. Gossip Girl follows Dan Humphrey and his sister who wants to be a part of the in crowd. The underdog falls in love with Serena who is best friends with Blair. The story follows their group of friends through New York City and private school with the drama of Gossip Girl. She stirs up a lot of trouble for the cast as they go through college as well.6. 90210
This is the ultimate revamp of the late 1980s Beverly Hills. 90210 follows a brother and sister, Annie and Dixon, from Kansas to California where they meet a group of people who take them on a whirlwind tour of high society in Beverly Hills. There is a ton of back stabbing, drama, and love. I believe this show represents the way of life that we have today. There has been a common theme
throughout all of these shows that I have noticed. Friends stick together no
matter what. In most of these shows there have been betrayals that cause
friendships to break, but later on in the series, you find the friends back
together. You will always have a bond with the people close to you. No matter
if you hurt one another, you are always there for each other. I hope you will
look more into these shows and want to watch them. They are all wonderful shows
even though at times the characters can frustrate you when they mess up. I hope
you will agree with this list.
