Every day you dwell in the past, you miss a precious opportunity. Of course, it is human nature to remain in our comfort zones, but no good has ever come from refusing to move forward. Whether you choose to say within this dull level of life out of fear of the unknown, or pure habit, you must always remember that you can't let fear of the future keep you from moving on. You must remember to embrace life along the way. There are so many people afraid to move on because they don't want to feel anything, and they refuse to believe that one of the main reasons of being alive is in fact to feel. It is your job in life to embrace these emotions because they prove that you're alive.

I encourage you to feel your stomach hurt from laughter and to feel your soul hurt from disappointment. I encourage you to feel hope for the first time in years, and I hope you feel God's presence all around you. I hope you embrace the fact that their is something out there that's bigger than yourself. Experience love, feel heartbreak, feel failure, and then pick yourself back up. Don't be ashamed to cry. Don't be embarrassed to laugh louder than anyone around you. As humans we can no longer be afraid of emotional pain, and we can no longer be afraid to show that we feel. If is wasn't for experiencing emotions, we would never grow mentally. If we never experienced pain, we would never learn.

Although I can commiserate with those stuck on the same page of the same book for years, I beg of you to move forward now. Turn the page in your book of life. I promise you, after you do you will wonder why you spent so many days reading the same page over and over. It becomes the only thing you are comfortable with. It turns into the only thing you know. No one has ever felt honor, pride, or greatness without first turning the page. I know most of us are broken and depressed. I know because I am still in that position, but I now realize that it is my time. Although I may be crawling on my hands and knees from being beaten down so often, I am still crawling to my story book to turn the page. I know your arms are weak, and your legs are weary. I know your eyes are filled with tears, and your heart is filled with fear of the future. I also know that you are strong enough to move forward by looking at how long you've survived.

Do not let anyone steal your life away from you. This is your story, and this is your book. Do not be numb to the world, embrace it. There is no reason to prolong your sadness over something that cannot be changed. If you want to live your day as if you were an emotionless robot, then that is completely up to you. I just warn you now that when you're old and it's too late, you will ask yourself where you went wrong. So I beg of you now to feel something! You cannot begin to truly live until you decide to feel raw emotion. Moving forward will not only benefit you. You will make so many people proud to know someone so strong. You will inspire your family and friends, and you'll inspire yourself.

There is no time to be timid! Chances need to be taken! All I am asking is that you consider moving forward while remembering to embrace life in all of the glorious moments that are presented to you. In fact, I want to propose the idea that you not only begin to feel, but that you feel everything deeply. Feel your whole entire soul present in every moment. Do not let your soul linger in the past. My final words to you remain the most important in the article, and I hope these are the words that stick with you. Help yourself to the future because your past is forever gone.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
