It's that point in your life, the one where you can freely drink in a nice restaurant and not worry about getting in trouble with the law. Turning 21, it's an age you've been waiting for since before you can remember. From constantly avoiding strict bars to pouring your "beverage" into a Polar Pop cup for that summer concert, not being 21 was a real struggle for you.

Now is the time you are turning that magical age. The night is one to remember (or not remember). Here are 21 things that happen on your 21st birthday as told by "The Office."

1. You wake up and realize you're finally 21

You made it! You feel like you can do anything and everything now.

2. You get a weekend (or week) of celebrating

It's your time. Cheers to 20-fun!

3. All of your gifts are alcohol-related

This could be a good or bad thing. Drink responsibly.

4. Your first time buying alcohol at the store turns into buying the store

You can't decide what you want to buy, so you just buy it all.

5. You don't have to pay for anything at the bars

It's everyone's goal to get you feeling some type of way.

6. The bouncer has got nothing on you

Yes, sir. I'd love to show you my ID.

7. Random people buy you drinks at the bar

I don't know you, but hell yeah, it's my 21st.

8. When it hits...

Mission accomplished.

9. "I can dance"

Every song is "your song," and you have the urge to get up and shake what your momma gave you.

10. You're ready to take on all the bars in the city

The amount of energy and confidence you have is on a whole other level.

11. Your friends buy a round of shots

Hey, you only turn 21 once!

12. And another one...

Even DJ Khaled saw this coming.

13. You are the highlight on everyone's Snap story

The camera is your worst enemy on this night.

14. "Happy birthday, let me buy you a drink!"

The point in the night where you just can't stand the thought of another Whiskey Sour. No way, Jose.

15. The bartender suggests drinking water

Your inner sass kicks in when people tell you that you need water.

16. You give yourself pep-talks to rally for the rest of the night

Look in the mirror and pull yourself together. You are a champ!

17. Getting food is one of the best parts of the entire night

Food never tasted so satisfying.

18. Going home seems like an obstacle course

Everything seems to be in your way. No it wasn't you, it was the couches fault.

19. You are the definition of struggle

Something as simple as drinking water seems to be the hardest thing you've ever had to do.

20. Your friends give you a recap of the night

"No, I didn't do that. It must've been someone else."

21. People ask you how your 21st was

A night that went by so fast, and then you realize you don't want to get any older now.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
