It’s time to write an article about my biggest supporter, my grandma. Since I was just a little kid she has seen the potential and talent that even some of my teachers failed to recognize. Mommom’s favorite story about me is from when I was in kindergarten and I got to read a book that I wrote to my principal. To this day my grandma believes I should be a writer and although she cant access this article or any of my other ones, I know she would be happy that I’m writing regularly.
Mommom is by far the kindest woman I have ever gotten the pleasure to meet. She treats everyone like family and being Italian, she absolutely loves to cook and feed people. In fact, before she got sick, she would come over every single Tuesday after school and cook us a delicious meal. My brothers and I would take turns choosing what it would be for the next week. From turkey to corned/roast beef to sausage to meatballs, Mommom would make anything.
During these special Tuesdays we would talk about a lot of things but mostly religion. Mommom happily took up the difficult task of teaching my two younger brothers religion. From a very young age I learned to associate religion and church with the best woman I knew. I always thought everyone in the Catholic church was kind and generous like Mommom but unfortunately I learned that going to church doesn't necessarily make you a good person.
Mommom has always been concerned with my grades and education. As a child I loved sharing my high grades with her and my grandfather, who would give me a dollar or two every time I got a 100%.
I am so blessed and grateful to have had such an incredible grandma. Mommom has played a huge role in who I am today along with my views and values. I appreciate everything she has done for me and I will never forget her infinite kindness. The love she has for her family and friends is unbelievable. I hope that one day I can be half she is.
