So like every human being on Earth I love sleep! Sleeping is one of my favorite things to do in the entire world, especially after a long day, and I happen to be pretty good at it. Falling asleep, however, is something that I'm very terrible at nowadays. We all have nights like this where we have a snack, brush our teeth, turn off the lights, get into bed, and close our eyes until we completely crash. At the end of it all, we're either rolling around in bed, stuck on YouTube and Twitter, or praying for death instead because anything is better than being in a bedroom of nothingness and torture. Well now you can stress no more because I have a few tips that can help you fall asleep, and here they are.
1. Listen To Music
I'm one of those people that has a hard time falling asleep unless there's a little bit of noise in the background, so I listen to music! Here are ten albums that I really love falling asleep to.

They're not necessarily mellow albums, although two of them are, but they are ear candy to me. Also, these albums still put me in a nice mood and put me off to sleep really nicely to this day!
2. Sleep In Your Room / Environment
Something that I like to remember is that when I'm falling asleep in my room... It is a place that I made in my image and decorated to my taste. Falling asleep in a room that reflects you as a person feels better than falling asleep in a plain old bedroom. So as you try to fall asleep look around your room, look at the walls, the ceilings, the posters, the possessions, and the memories you have in that room. Get your mind off the sleep and remember that this is your room, your sanctuary, and your safe haven!
3. Watch Something To Pass The Time
If music doesn't make you sleepy, then watching a movie, episodes of your favorite TV show, or videos on a YouTube channel definitely will. Even when you're with family and friends there is still that one chance where you'll fall asleep at the middle or the end of the production. Since I feel like there's nothing good on TV anymore, I stick with watching YouTube videos to help me fall asleep. Here are a couple of channels that I love to watch!

4. Change What You Are Wearing
No matter if you put more on or take more off, change the clothes you wear to bed up a little bit. Clearly what you're wearing right now is probably not working with you!
5. Make The Atmosphere More Relaxing
There are two things you can do to make you feel sleepy in your area. First, make sure the room is clean and that it smells nicer! Nothing should be on your bed while you are on it and everything should be picked up and put back where it belongs. Afterwards you can spray Febreze, Lysol, or Glade around your room. Second, find a way to make yourself feel calm and safe. I have two apps on my laptop, an Aquarium app and a Fireplace app, and they make me feel good and sleepy.
6. Remembering Fun Places
Think back to memories when you fell asleep feeling really nice! Some examples include when you fell asleep at your grandparent's house, your cousin's house, your girlfriend or boyfriend's house, or when you were away on the other side of the country in a nice hotel. Just try to recreate that feeling for yourself.
7. Cuddle Something
You may think it's corny or awkward or odd, but cuddling with something makes you feel amazing. No matter if it's a person, a pet, a pillow, a stuffed animal, a sweater, or a blanket... Just wrap it around you as tight as you can and it would feel a hundred times better.
8. Keep Yourself Occupied
If all else fails (as much as they shouldn't) and you can't fall asleep, just do something else to keep yourself occupied until you're tired. Play a video game for a bit, look at your phone, go to the bathroom and then come back... Don't torture yourself by staying in bed because it only makes it worse. Find a way to put yourself in a better mood!
