Struggles Of The Constantly Clumsy Friend

Trying to be coordinated remains to be a daily struggle.

Struggles Of The Constantly Clumsy Friend

Yes, I have come to terms with the fact that I am the constantly clumsy friend of my friend group.

For some it may be having an issue getting from point A to point B, and for others the struggle lies in a lack of hand-eye coordination in arbitrary daily tasks.

My daily deficiency for coordination has led to some pretty funny, and mostly embarrassing, moments in my life.

For those who share my inelegant tendencies I am here to say it's okay! I have learned to embrace it, and laugh at my daily struggles of being the constantly clumsy friend.

What is it like to live life when you overestimate your ability to walk on your own two feet? I am here to shed some light:

Walking Down The Stairs= Compromising Your Safety.

It's not always bad when you are alone at home, but the worst is eating it in public. This can occur walking down, or even up the stairs. At least it's funny for everyone else, right?

You Can Never Be Quiet.

Forget trying to be sneaky- it's always a failed mission. Even when you grind to not make a sound, the clumsy gene kicks right in and before you know it you have caught the attention of everyone around you.

Driving Is A No-Go.

After being pulled over more times than you can count, driving is normally a struggle for clumsy people. A car honked? No need to look, it was definitely at you.

You Manage To Drop EVERYTHING.

No matter how hard you try, things seem to just slip from your fingers naturally. Someone you never learn to not drop your phone on your face, and it seems to get worse with time.

You Are Constantly Taking A Tumble.

Your feet are your biggest hazard. Wipe out has essentially become part of your persona, and it's totally not a big deal.

You hate that you love heels.

Shocker- heels are the perfect recipe for a wipe out. If only you didn't love the look, you could probably avoid a few bruises (only a few though).

Things Are ALWAYS In Your Way.

Random things seem to magically appear in your path as you innocently walk outside. Multitasking while walking tends to result in more run-ins, but they happen nonetheless.

For all the clumsy friends out there, rock on! You are guaranteed to have a few laughs along with those bruises, keeping doing you.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
