1. Take a hike!
Although the weather is getting cooler, NC is known for it's finicky weather. Take advantage of a nice afternoon, and head out to William B. Umstead State Park for some fresh air. There are different trails with varying levels of difficulty, but one of the most popular is the Company Mill Loop. 2. Unleash your inner kid! Jump on it! SkyZone Raleigh offers crazy trampoline fun, with a foam pit, lots of open jump space, and 3-D dodgeball. Wednesday night is college night and only $5! 3. Take in a game or concert at PNC!
Raleigh has so many great sports teams and events; cheer for the home team by going to a concert or game! NC State basketball, Hurricanes hockey, Disney on Ice, and the Barnum and Bailey Circus are just some of the arena's highlights of 2016. 4. Have a feast fit for foodies!
Raleigh is home to a multitude of delicious eateries. Ditch your regular chain spot, and pick a new local spot to try! Instagram accounts such as @raleighfoodpics, @raleighrevealed, and @rdubaton are chock full of pics from the best places in town that will have you drooling.
5. Give Back!
Nothing is better than giving back together! There are people and organizations all over Raleigh that could use a helping hand. Spending time helping others is time well-spent, so head on over to organizations such as the Raleigh Rescue Mission, or the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Spend money that you would've used to eat out to meet urgent needs, or volunteer your unique talents.
