The end of the semester is crazy. You have finals, papers and presentations that seem to go on forever. Spring break has been over for a while, but summer seems so far away. All of your schoolwork is piling up while you are running out of food, money and your sanity. All college students can relate to these true things that happen at the end of the semester.
1. You have huge dark circles under your eyes.
At this point in the semester, you have had more late nights studying than you can count. The dark circles under your eyes get darker every day, but you don't even bother to put on makeup to cover them. Soon enough, your dark circles will look like the night without a good night's sleep.
2. You are running out of everything.
You have a drop left of conditioner, you have been using your roommate’s tissues for weeks and you have very little in your fridge. You put off buying more because soon you’ll be home where your mom will have everything stocked up.
3. Your bank account is very low.
You’re starting to regret getting Starbucks every morning and ordering pizza at midnight because you don’t have any money for new summer clothes.
4. You have a lot of dirty laundry.
Your hamper is overflowing, your sheets are questionably dirty, and you’ve been wearing the same sweatshirt for a while now. You think about doing laundry, but why pay for it at school when you (your mom) can do it at home?
5. You are craving home.
Even if you love school, you are probably ready to go home at this point in the semester. You miss your family, your dog and even your annoying siblings. Your tolerance for the dining hall food is gone, and you can't wait to shower without shower shoes.
6. Your dorm room is a mess.
All of your organization is out the window, and all of the things you’ve accumulated over the semester are piling up all over the place in your tiny box of a room. It would be nice to clean up, but soon enough you will be packing everything up for the summer, so why bother?
Although the end of the semester is crazy, the nicer weather makes everyone happier and the remaining days with your friends are so much fun. We'll all miss school two weeks after summer starts anyway.
