Trump's Wall: Border Protection Against Drugs And Terrorism

In This Article:

This is a controversial issue. Most of the hate for it stems from the fact that Trump wants to keep immigrants from coming to the country illegally. Let's all be honest here, MANY Mexican immigrants come through the border illegally.

Are they all Mexican? No. I'm sure there are other immigrants from other countries coming through the Mexico Border.

But let's not forget that the Drug Cartels have tunnels that lead from Mexico to the US. I guess that's not reason enough for us to be concerned. Let me share a little piece of info with you. I live in New England and we have more deaths here from cheap Heroin coming from Mexico than I have ever heard of.

A lot of you probably think that it's just circulating and that it's the person using who is responsible for their own death but the Heroin that's here is cheap but powerful. Since the US is making Marijuana legal the cartels figure that they have to keep making money somehow so they're sending this deadly drug throughout the US.

That's one reason that I want to speak out about the Wall. The other being that the illegal people in this country are getting here unfairly. They sneak across the border and unless they are caught by border patrol they get to stay in our country and take jobs that the American people could be using.

For those of you that get offended easily, I'm sorry but it's just not right. If you want to be an AMERICAN do it the right way! I have a cousin that fell in love with a girl from the UK. She is working on a visa to become an American Citizen. This has been a long and grueling process.

For the last year, she has not been permitted into the country because she was waiting for the Embassy to decide her fate as to whether or not she could become a citizen here. After the year-long wait, she has finally been approved and will be coming to live with my cousin for good soon.

That's the proper way to become an American Citizen. If you can't do it properly then I don't think that you belong here. This was not just given to her, she had to do her part and wait out the process.

Another point that I would like to bring up about Trump building the Wall, ISIS. ISIS has flooded the UK and many of the big cities are attacked almost monthly because the UK just let them in. Trump is trying to put a stop to that with building the Wall. How many of the people that cross our border illegally do you think are ISIS members? I would guess a lot. The Mexico border is the easiest way for them to infiltrate the US.

Trump is smart enough to realize that, I don't know why the rest of us don't get. Or maybe it's that we don't want. We figure that if we turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to that the problem just goes away, it won't.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
