The Republican Party's reactions to President-elect Trump's administration

This election has been insane from the beginning. Through Trump's progression in our election system, he's surpassed many barriers that could have easily shut down any other candidate's campaign. After Trump got elected...I was in a state of shock. I kept asking myself, "What is the future of our country going to look like?" and "How will we react to our future, and the conflicts that will come?". Suffice it to say, I have no clue what our future holds. I sincerely hope that President Obama will put measures in place (such as rejecting the proposed North Dakota Access Pipeline) that will protect our country as much and as long as possible from the proposals and policies that Donald Trump mentioned on the campaign trail.

Figuring out Donald Trump is a challenge for most people...but not everyone. Alan Lichtman, a professor from American University, has correctly predicted the outcome of every election since 1984. Lichtman recently gave an interview on CBS that Donald Trump will be impeached. Obviously, the Democratic Party is largely frustrated with Trump becoming the President-Elect, but the struggle between "factions" of the Republican Party is very interesting to watch.

While there have been rallies in support of Trump (that strongly resemble those that occurred in Germany during the early stages of World War Two), politicians like Senate Majority Mitch McConnell are confronted with major existential questions, in terms of their own careers and the Republican Party as a whole. When asked about the controversial appointment of the former CEO of Breitbart News (Steve Bannon) to chief White House Strategist on November 15, McConnell faced a political dilemma. Even the conservative radio talk show host, Glenn Beck, has strongly criticized Steve Bannon for having ties to white nationalist/supremacist groups.

This election has been a very fascinating one, it's been an election mostly about ethics (or the lack thereof). We'll just have to see what happens next, from now till January 20, and what will happen going forward from there.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
