If you thought all the political drama would end when the results of the 2016 American Presidential Election were announced, you were wrong.

Donald Trump won the election with 290 electoral votes whereas Hillary Clinton only had 228. (at the time of this article there are still 20 electoral votes that have yet to be assigned) Also, the House and Congress are both Republican. This is the first time since 1928 The White House, Congress, and The House of Representatives have all been under Republican control at the same time.

Now that the election is over, many people are left wondering "What Happens Now?". With the country divided, protests against the president elect all over the country, and people all over the world being afraid of a Trump presidency, what will happen?

In early December, the electoral college will meet to officially cast their votes and elect the new president. Each state has a set number of electors who pledge to vote for the person who received the most votes in their state. People are protesting and signing petitions to try and get the Electoral College to change their votes and elect Hillary Clinton. This will not happen; these protesters are just wasting their time. Trump won the election, and Hillary Clinton congratulated him on his victory. The "official" announcement for the new president will be in January. Then, Donald Trump and Mike Pence will take over power and move into the White House.

Now, the country needs to focus on being The UNITED States of America. These protests have got to stop. Hillary and Trump have put aside their differences for the good of the country, citizens should follow their lead.

People all over the world are afraid of a Trump presidency, but why? So far Russia, Syria, Isreal, and the United Kingdom have all came forward saying they look forward to working with Trump to find peace. Trump is very anti-war. He wants to stop sending troops to the rest of the world and work on "making America great again".

Trump is seen as sexist, racist, and homophobic. Trump has already named Dr. Ben Carson (a black neurosurgeon), Sarah Palin (the female governor of Alaska), and Peter Thiel (an openly gay man) as people he wants on his team.

Deportation and immigration are some other big fear on people's minds, but all Trump wants to do is make sure people come into the country legally. He wants to make America safe. Yes, he wants to deport anyone who is currently living in the U.S. illegally, but he wants to then help the good people come back to the U.S. legally.

Donald Trump loves this country, and he did not have to run for president. He ran for the presidency and dealt with constant slander and criticism from the media for months all because he loves America. He has made the decision not to accept a salary during his entire presidency. He is not in this for the money or fame, he already has that, he is in it to help "America become great again".

So, What does happen now? Now, Trump, Clinton, and Obama have the job of calming people's fears and bringing America back together. Trump will officially take office on Friday, January 20, 2017. He has promised to then repeal and replace Obamacare, build a wall on the countries southern border with Mexico, update the countries immigration process, and lower taxes. If Trump is able to fulfill his campaign promises, we will be looking at a very different America come January 2017.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
