Trump, His Mannerisms, and His "If I Win" Ideology

He'll accept the results if he wins, but what happens if he doesn't?

There are a lot of things that could be said about this year's election. It does not matter if you are rooting for Trump, Clinton, Stein, Johnson, McMullin, or anyone else who may be written onto a ballot. This election has become, to some, a sick joke. And no, that does not mean 'sick' like it is cool. This election is, to be quite honest, kind of terrifying. The potential results of this election give a glimpse into the next 4--or more--years of all of our lives in the United States of America. Although, if you are a white male you may not be affected regardless of who wins.

My own personal opinions about these candidates truly do not matter in the grand scheme of things. I am only one person in this massive country. However, there seems to be a lack of concern regarding how many people still support a certain candidate after all they have said.

"I would like to promise and pledge to all my voters and supporters and to all of the people of the United States that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election," Trump said. "If I win."

This is a comment from the one and only Donald Trump, the republican nominee for the 2016 presidential election. I do not know about you, but this is a little scary for me.

In addition to his newest comments about only accepting the election results if he wins or if they are very clear, he has previously claimed that the election in November will be rigged. And sure, I suppose if someone wanted the election to be rigged bad enough it could be, but who on earth wants that? One of the most amazing things about our country is the fact that we are a democracy.

Democracy, as defined by merriam-webster, is "a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections."

That is not even to mention Trump's horrid comments about a woman's right to choose and the "ripping" a baby out at 9 months. Which, from what I can see, does not happen unless the baby has no chance of survival or the mother's life is in danger if she were to carry the baby to term.

Alyson Draper posted about her late-term abortion on Facebook.

Not only did she mention how it was the "worst moment of [her] life," she also mentioned that Utah had made it illegal and she had to get it approved. Draper's life was in danger and she still had to get it approved.

I have gotten a little away from my point, but can you blame me? This is a man who is now telling the world that he will only accept the results "if he wins." That is scary.

"Of course, I would accept a clear election result, but I would also reserve my right to contest or file a legal challenge in the case of a questionable result," Trump added.

Obviously that is completely fair. Each person has the right to question what happened if they feel that it may be unfair. However, this is a man that a good chunk of people describe as a child.

After all I have seen regarding Trump, the fact that he is claiming this makes me uneasy. He has a lot of supporters, he does, and they all seem to be quite violent in their mannerisms.

If he were to claim that the election was rigged, that someone somehow cheated, and demand a revote or a recount (which I do not even know how that would work of if it would even happen), I do not want to even think about how his supporters would react.

The last thing I want to claim is that people would get violent. Maybe they would not. Maybe the supporters would just vocally support their candidate, but there is always the off chance that they would not. There is that chance that some of the radical supporters would take it upon themselves to try and eliminate people who challenge them and those who challenge Trump.

If they are willing to make fools out of themselves by being so hateful to other people at rallies, and allow there to be video proof of some of them being giant hypocrites, what else are they willing to do?

I do not care who you vote for. I honestly do not. I just ask that you please keep in mind that this is not just about you. There are so many other people who are going to be affected by an election where someone like Trump wins. You are not the only person in this country and neither is he. Just keep that in mind.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
