So, we all thought the "nasty women" comment would live on as one of Donald Trump's worst moments while speaking about women. Well, besides the "Hollywood Access" tape. But, to our surprise (hint, that's sarcasm), we were wrong. Sunday night Trump tweeted "Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy-mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn't see them around when we needed help getting it passed,"
Now, of course, Chrissy Teigen fired back with a badass response: "Lol what a p**** a** b****. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president"
As much as this had me rolling on the floor laughing, as people dragged the president with the hashtags #FlithyMouthedWife and #TeamChrissy, I also felt exhausted. I mean, Trump frustrates me. Every. Single. Day. But this was something different. His comments that seemed just immature and unpresidential are starting to be filled more and more with racism, sexism, and bigotry. From empowering white nationalists to telling congresswomen of color to "go back" where they came from, his Twitter tirades are becoming increasingly infuriating.
Trump embarrasses the country in front of world leaders, denies science, uses language parroted by racist terrorists, promotes rape culture, and even profits off of his presidency. Yet he continues to hold national power. This has to end.
If you're as exhausted of him as I am, Trump is up for reelection in 2020.
