Donald Trump's presidency is failing and creating an even bigger problem

Trump 2017: It's Only a Matter of Time

For the past 6 months, there have been multiple instances that show Donald Trump has failed – and is still failing - to live up to the standard of the professional and intelligent title of the President of the United States. He has destroyed the title itself, and he is continuously embarrassing the country and all of the citizens in it; all while perpetuating misogyny, hatred, and ignorance to those who will feed into it.

Throughout his Presidency, he has created an infamous name for himself on a global scale – especially through social media, where he has nearly 33 million followers on Twitter. Although this large following is common for Presidents in the digital age, he uses it in unorthodox way.

Most recently, he took to his Twitter to voice, yet another, one of his opinions regarding a female, her intelligence and her appearance. He stated:

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore)," Trump tweeted.
Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

After having a segment on their show where Mika Brzezinski voiced an opinion that was not in favor of Trump and his actions, the current President of the United States, decides to take matters into his own hands. He retaliates by attacking someone on Twitter. Sounds ridiculous, right?

Every single President has faced some sort of criticism and the fact that this is how he handles it shows me that he is honestly one of the most immature and underqualified people to ever sit in the oval office (although most of the population knew this before January 20th). There is a certain level of class and dignity that a President must have in order to be respected, and this – in addition to many other things – is an instance where he fails to carry any of these qualities.

He has had questionable contact with Russia, before and after the election; he has bullied people nonstop on Twitter, where he should have some kind of filter or a manager that tells him to control himself; he mocked and humiliated a disabled journalist; he has broken numerous international laws; he has shown that he doesn’t understand the job itself and that he lacks the knowledge that a President needs; he completely disrespected Theresa May and London itself twice in the month of June, once by releasing the names of terrorists before London did and then insulting Mayor Khan on Twitter.

He thinks that his actions only impact him and his precious image. Unfortunately, he is the head of a country right now and he is responsible for billions of people, and he is failing miserably to the point where his fellow republicans have to babysit him. Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, defends him nonstop, and maybe that’s because he had to “swear loyalty”, but this is unacceptable. No one should have to defend a president, no one should have to “swear loyalty” – he should be able to bite his tongue and be intelligent enough to understand that every action has a consequence and there’s much more to lose than money or a good reputation.

His actions perpetuate ideas that only create more hatred in the world. He manipulates people to follow him and he feeds them fear-filled propaganda that defiles the great people in this world. He creates a bad name for reporters and journalists in media by threatening their credibility and banishing them to the back of the crowd if they’re not affiliated with FOX news, and continues to show disrespect for minorities in general. He has no respect for women, and he uses his power and every low-blow in the book to destroy them – all because they have an opinion and a voice that is more logical than his.

Not to mention, that his own wife has claimed advocacy to stop bullying and cyber-bullying. How can she stand by and let him say the things he says about others? How could she let this vengeful man be a role model to her son? She should have a back bone and say “no”. Take a stand and show the rest of the world that you aren’t this man’s puppet, we would all have more respect for her if that was the case. Melania is just watching her husband ruin the United States domestically and internationally. He’s destroying the level of acceptance that many other presidents and activists have fought for – and that’s terrifying.

He’s a selfish man. He has no common sense and he will never admit when he is wrong. He will do whatever it takes to defend himself, no matter how foul. He will lie, he will cheat, he will be a bully to those who go against him, and he will do it with a smile. This man doesn’t have an empathetic bone in his body and I’m starting to think he doesn’t have a heart. He was so quick to criticize Obama while he was in office and now, when all eyes are on him, he hides behind his Twitter account and uses awful language to make others believe that he is some kind of victim. Fortunately, most of us can see through this façade. He thinks that this is strength. This is not strength, it’s cowardice. Strength is admitting your faults, strength is facing your naysayers, strength is having the ability (and the knowledge) to have a debate without bringing up personal topics. Strength is much more than a prestigious title and power, and it’s time that he realizes this.

There’s many events that have led up to my conclusion that Trump should not be in office right now, but the biggest question in my mind right now is “When?” When will all of his actions finally lead him out of the oval office? When will the rest of the house and congress finally stand up to this menace and make him leave? When will he dig his own grave deep enough and make America great again? It’s only a matter of time. To quote my grandmother, “If he talks long enough, he’ll bury himself”.

female tv characters
We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
