1. Your closet is their closet; and when you go off to college, everything you leave behind is now theirs.

2. You know and knew all their friends and vice versa. Chances are you drove all of them around and tried your hardest to ignore their squeals.

3. You mix up your laundry with theirs constantly, and have to check tags for sizes to differentiate.

4. You introduce(d) them to all the best music so they're way cool in their grade(s).

5. You argued from an early age about who will be who's maid of honor.

6. You made them be the Lily to your Hannah Montana, the SheGo to your Kim Possible, etc. (pre youngest sister) back in the day.

7. You forced them to braid, curl, straighten your hair once they learned, and still do.

8. Nail polish goes/went missing like nobody's business.

9. You jam to Disney Channel and other childhood throwbacks together in the car, with you singing lead of course.

10. They got to wear makeup way before you did, and that made you super mad.

11. They call you and ask for help in math or to proofread their English essays for them.

12. They come to you when they need to vent about the other, and you'll do the same with them. And you'll all vent about your parents to each other. (sorry, Mom)

13. You tell them about all the boys to steer clear of, because chances are you went to high school with their older brothers.

14. You fought over who got to buy that cute dress you all wanted, because you wouldn't be caught dead wearing the same thing as them.

15. There's one week every 28 days where hell will open up and swallow your house whole.

16. You're so lucky to have your younger sisters.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
