You struggle being just a muggle.

You Know You Are A True Potterhead When...
Tammy Trout

As kids we all grew up having a thing. The '90s kids were blessed with being able to grow reading and watching Harry Potter go from a simple story about a boy who lived to a billion dollar idea that now involves 8 fantastic movies, an interactive website, a theme park in two states, and a fan base that grows every second. I read my first Harry Potter book in the first grade and it changed my life. I am a Potterhead. Take a peek into what that actually means and you may realize you're one, too!

1. You can quote almost every line in any movie. And sometimes you break into dialogue and act out the part for absolutely no reason.

2. You have a special place in your room dedicated to the display of all eight movies and all seven perfectly written books.

3. You have been to Harry Potter World more than once and still make plans to go back every year. August 1, 2016 be ready for me, I am returning.

4. You are either on or seriously debating being on your college’s quidditch team. Yes this is actually a real thing. Did anyone else notice that they were playing it in the background in "Pitch Perfect" while Becca is looking at all the clubs?

5. You cannot refrain from pointing out the actors from any of the movies in other movies or TV shows. You actually think you are sly when you lean over and say, "Hey, they're from 'HP.'"

6. You do not miss Harry Potter weekend on ABC Family. The really great thing about these weekend is that they are the uncut versions of the movie and this is the only way you get to see those extras that should have stayed in the original movie.

7. You have had at least one Harry Potter birthday party. It is okay if your 22nd birthday was Harry Potter themed, there is no shame.

8. You have a wand, somewhere; it may be hidden because someone could steal it. Or you could also have it on display. This is a personal preference thing.

9. You have articles of clothing and you wear them. Whether that be a cute top with a quote or some Gryffindor stripped socks under your jeans, you've got to have something.

10. You hear any music from any soundtrack and you know exactly which part it goes to in the movie. The skill this requires should be commended.

11. You get into heated debates about what should have been in the movies from the books and how they messed some super important facts up that you felt were vital. Its so easy to yourself worked up and start ranting about it.

12. You have the soundtracks for the movies on your Spotify account, and you listen to it. I do so while studying, I find it soothing.

13. Your roommates don’t let you pick on movie night anymore because they always know what you are going to choose.

14. You have adopted the Wizarding World vocabulary into your everyday vocabulary. Muggles everywhere.

15. The word, “always” makes your heart clench. Boys take note. This is how you get to a female Potterhead’s heart.

16. You still follow the lives of all the actors and you love seeing what they are doing now, even if you call them by their HP names instead of their real ones.

17. You have named something you own after Harry Potter. Example: I have a black Honda CRV, therefore I call him Serious Black. Clever, yes I know.

18. You have a Pinterest page dedicated directly to your Harry Potter addiction. Yes, it is an addiction. There is no known cure.

19. You think chocolate frogs are a normal candy that should be in the checkout line available for purchase. Why shouldn't you be able to walk into Walmart and leave with a beautifully boxed frog made of milk chocolate?

20. You are still waiting for your Hogwarts letter to arrive. The owl just got lost, it will come. One day, right?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
