It's almost Thanksgiving. The day where people can enjoy a delicious turkey with their family, with a side of mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and so on. Another way to enjoy the holiday is by watching the NFL games in which the Minnesota Vikings take on the Detroit Lions, the Dallas Cowboys looking for their tenth straight win against the Washington Redskins and wrapping up the day with the Pittsburgh Steelers playing against the Indianapolis Colts. Then of course, people camping outside stores hoping to get good deals on Black Friday.
The one thing people should remember about this holiday is the word itself. We do thank people on a daily basis, but what's special about this particular day is showing the appreciation you have for someone. The holiday isn't to just grub on that delicious turkey, but it gives you the opportunity to share what your are thankful for. Try to express your thankfulness to other people and show how much you care for them. Be thankful that you have lived another year of your life and that you still have loved ones present.
What is it I am thankful for?
I am truly thankful for those who have assisted me through the struggles and were able to put a smile on my face. I thank the people who have always kept me in contact and have asked me how my day has gone. I thank the brave ones who are sacrificing their lives for this country. Especially my courageous cousin who is a veteran. I thank both sides of my parent's family for believing in me and showing me how to stay positive. Thanking my parents is not enough as they have done everything for me and my sister to be happy.
So go eat a turkey and share your love to others, as your gratitude can make their day.
Happy Thanksgiving.
