True Life: I'm A Concert Junkie

Summer is upon us soon and everyone knows what that means. Concerts.

Whether it be country, rap, EDM, or rock, they all give you a feeling of being high on life/the music playing.

A country show makes you feel like a southern bell. You want to transfer to some big southern college and have your life be like a Luke Bryan song. Your hair is semi-good looking and you have taken your best sundress and combined it with a kick-ass pair of cowboy boots. Now if only Luke Bryan could notice you out in the lawn and serenade you with one of his many ballads...

Rap concerts are definitely an interesting event. You never really know what may happen. There could be a fight, a mosh pit, or nothing at all. But when you see Wiz, you make sure that you are looking fine AF to impress the world with how much of a boss bish you are.

EDM concerts.... they can speak for themselves. Just make sure you are having a good time.

And then rock concerts. Now there are your easy rock stars like good ol' John Mayer (yes, he's perfection on stage). You feel like a low key hippie as you rock a maxi dress and are just feeling happy/sad/confused/spirited about the life you live.

A little more amped up? Dave Matthews Band will always have you covered to make you feel every type of feeling known to man. Even if you haven't heard a lot of his songs, you are sure to have the time of your life. Heavy rock concerts are there for you to rage your heart out after being angry for a while. Black on black outfit? I think so.

Your parents may not understand why you spend most of your paycheck on lawn tickets to some random show, but you sure do. There's truly nothing like being able to go to an event with some of your best friends, listen to some good music, and yes, rage to all the songs you do and don't know.

The concerts this year look pretty amazing and I am sure that many people are going to have nights to remember/forget. You may spend most of your hard earned money seeing your favorite musicians live and it may be awesome or a let down. But you definitely know one thing for sure.

You are addicted to concerts and you ain't even mad. It's the best addiction in the world.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
