Last Friday, while some clung to screens to watch the United Stated Presidential Inaguration, music fans around the world were given a new single from one of the best alternative artists in the last few years. Troye Sivan, an Australian Singer Song writer, has wowed listeners with past hits like YOUTH and WILD feat. Alessia Cara. The Release of his music video for the song HEAVEN feat. Betty Who meant more to Sivan and his fans than just another piece of artist work being published. The singer, previously known for his YouTube Channel, has been open about his support of the LBGTQA+ community since long before his coming out and the song HEAVEN shows it loud and clear.

The video shows iconic clips of supporters and couples as well as Troye intimately clung to a mans chest. The video is a beautiful portrayal of LGBTQA+ Support, and as a member of the community I am 100% here for his video and its controversial release date. The song itself, off his Blue Neighborhood album, is the same smooth sound that Troye is known and loved for. The lyrics are gold for anyone who has ever used the religious argument against LGBTQA+ love. The line "If i'm losing a piece of me, maybe I don't want heaven" definitely resonated with me and my thoughts on the idea that LGBTQA+ people cannot go to heaven. If this is in fact true and we are not allowed to love whom ever we want to love, then I don't want any part of that. Well done, Troye and thank you. Check out Troye Sivan's new Music Video for HEAVEN featuring Betty Who on YouTube and Vevo.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
