Today our generation is often perceived as lazy, disrespectful, spoiled, uneducated and many more degrading adjectives.
We are called the trouble generation.
This is inaccurate. There are many of us who are far from failure. We get out and get involved. We respect our elders and our peers. We work for what we want, and we are very knowledgeable. Our generation might be stereotyped, but I promise in years to come many will appreciate what my generation has to offer the world.
I am a part of the Delta Eta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at McNeese State University. We are a divergent group of young ladies. Our ages are inconsistent, our backgrounds are diverse and our ethnicities vary. We are all so different, yet we are similar.
We strive to be successful. We venture out to be involved and help in our community as well as any place that needs us. We learn and teach how to act civilized for us to develop into respectable proper women. We are not lazy, as the rest of the world sees us. We have dreams and goals that we are working hard to fulfill. We are here to change the name of our generation. There are 105 of us. Even though we are different we all have amazing goals in life that we have already started working on. It goes to show you never judge a book by its cover. Listed below are just a few of the many goals that each one of us are working to achieve.
We may be young, we may be underestimated, but we are the future. Every day we work hard to one day be the difference our country needs. Our goals will one day be our accomplishments.
We are Generation Me. <3
