Congratulations, your home or dorm has been chosen to host a legendary event. Now, for those of you who do not know, the Triwizard Tournament brings together friends, enemies, and those who have not yet decided for an evening filled with drinking, fun, and mischief. Your teams will be chosen by the Goblet of Fire. Let me be clear, once chosen your liver stands alone. Eternal glory and bragging rights is what awaits the champions who win the Triwizard Tournament, but to do this the champions must complete three dangerous intoxicating tasks. And trust me when I say these challenges are not for the faint of heart, for the champions will be determined by whichever team not only competes in, but wins the final challenge. I wish you all good luck.
Welcoming feast.
Meant for initial intoxication, and forming or breaking alliances. Spread a deck of cards in a circle around the goblet of fire, or shot glass. Much like the muggle game kings, each card corresponds to either an action or a rule. The cards are assigned as follows:
Ace- Aguamenti
All champions must pick up their drinks and begin to chug. Each champion may not stop until the person before them stops, starting with the one who picked the card
2- Expelliarmus
The last champion to draw their wand and cast the incantation must drink
3- Veritaserum
Five Fingers of Truth (Never Have I Ever). First person to lose all of their fingers drinks.
4- Broken wand
Your spell backfired! Drink.
5- Priore Incantate
Mimic the last card drawn.
6- Salvio hexia
Provides the champion protection against hexes (Such as Peeve's Rules) until the next six is drawn.
7- Unbreakable vow
Choose another champion to be your partner, you must both drink whenever the other has to.
8- Confundus charm
Say one word, the next person repeats your word and adds one of their own. This continues until someone becomes too confounded to remember the words, that person must drink.
9- Stupefy
Choose a person to drink and lose their last turn
10- Tarantallegra
The champion who picks this card must either dance or drink
Jack- Peeves the Poltergeist
Make up a rule. Those who fail to follow the rule must drink.
Queen- Specialis Revelio
Each person must ask the champion who draws this card whatever they wish, the champion must then either answer the question or drink. The round ends once everyone has asked a question
King-Polyjuice Potion.
Finish your drink.
After each champion's turn, they must place the card on top of a shot glass trying to balance with two or more corners off the pile. If a champion makes the tower fall they must finish their drink and make another. The fallen cards are then placed off to the side and the game continues. The game is over once no cards remain around the glass.
The first task.
"The first task is designed to test your daring; courage in the face of the unknown is an important quality in a wizard."
Bartemius Crouch Sr.
This challenge requires the deck of card used in the Welcoming Feast, jokers included, and a pitcher or large glass. Put the deck facedown on the table. The task begins after each team pick a champion to represent them first.
Champion one from Hogwarts draws a card, and keeps it face down to keep the other teams from knowing. The first champions picked from Beauxbatons and Armstrong must then each guess the card's suit. If one of the other school's guesses the correct suit, Hogwarts must drink, and the school that guessed correctly adds to the center cup. If not, the school who guessed the wrong suit must drink. The card is then put into whichever team guessed correctly's pile, if no team guesses correctly the card is discarded. If a joker is found the team with the least amount of cards in their guess pile receives it.
Continue alternating between schools until both jokers have been found. If the same school received both jokers, that school must drink the entire middle cup, if not, the cup is divided between the schools.
Bonus rule
Two guesses: If a champion is feeling particularly lucky, they may opt to not only guess the suit of the card but the card's value as well.If the guess is correct the team who drew the card must finish the pitcher. If the champion only guesses 1/2 of the card, your entire team drinks three. If the guess is completely incorrect, your team must finish their drinks.
The second task.
"Well, all our champions are ready for the second task, which will start on my whistle. They have precisely an hour to recover what has been taken from them."
Ludo Bagman
This task requires multiple pong balls, many solo cups, and a table that all three schools can stand around.
To set up the challenge, fill the cups approximately one-third of the way with beer, and crowd them all around the center of the table. Fill one cup completely to the top with beer, this will be for whichever champion loses this challenge for his school. Leave three cups empty and give them to one player from each school, along with one pong ball. The game will begin with these players.
The players must then try to bounce the ball into their cups. If the ball makes it into the cup on the first try, the cup and ball may be passed to any other champion, as long as they do not currently have another ball and cup in front of them; choose wisely. If the ball does not make it into the cup on the first try, the the ball and cup must be passed directly to the player on your right.
If you and the champion to your left are shooting and the champion to your left bounces his ball into the cup first, they slap your cup away forcing you to drink one of the cups in the middle, and recover the ball that may have been slapped away from you. You then try to bounce your ball into the cup that you just drank from, and the champion to your left who slapped your cup passes their cup and ball to the champion on your right. They don't have to wait for you to drink, so drink quickly.
The game is finished when all one-third full cups are gone. The last champion to get his cup slapped away must drink the full cup in the center of the table
The third task.
"Oh, find the cup, if you can, but be careful. You might just lose yourself along the way."
Albus Dumbledore
A combination of flip cup and pong, the final task requires a table and solo cups, and possibly the remainder of your drink of choice.
Set the table for a 10 or six cup game of pong with enough cups along the sides for all other champions with one school on either side of the table each cup must be half filled with the school's drink of choice. If the same school lost the prior two challenges, they are eliminated, if not this game is played bracket style.
The game begins as a flip cup relay. Each champion must match up with one from the opposing school from across the table. If there is an odd amount of people, you may steal from the team not playing, eliminate one person from the larger school, or volunteer someone from the smaller school to drink twice. The pair on the far right on either side of the table begin. The pair chosen to start must touch their cups to the table, cheers, and touch their cups to the table once more to ensure that no one gets a head start.
The goal is for each player to chug their drink and flip the empty cup over, so it's upside down, using only the the edge of the table and their finger. Once a cup is successfully flipped, the champion to their left who then chugs and flips their cup.
This continues until the relay reaches the last player on the team who must chug his drink, flip his cup, and then attempt to shoot the pong ball into one of the solo cups. If the champion makes their shot, they go to the front of the line and start the relay over If they miss, however, the relay starts over from the beginning, this will continue until the champion shooting makes one cup, after which they will go to the front of the relay and start the next round. The schools do not have to wait for each other to begin the next round.
The game ends once one school has cleared the other team's cups. The school who has had their cups cleared loses the game, while the other school is deemed the triwizard champions, and will have bragging rights until the next Triwizard Tournament.
Note: House rules for beer pong apply.
Good luck to all who participate, congratulations for all who have survived, and for the sake of your school, and your friends please don't be a cedric. Bonus points for drinking this.
