A Trip To London

When packing your bags for break and preparing to visit a new place to explore and spend a week, most deem it vacation. Vacation it is, but taking a trip to London is more of an adventure than a leisurely day of tanning on the beach. Be prepared to enjoy long days full of walking, sight-seeing, exploring, getting lost, and doing it all over again the next day.

Visit all of the attractions.

There's Big Ben and the London Eye, sort of like an enormous enclosed ferris wheel, which travels at around 1mph and where you can see all of London from the top. There's Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. All places within easy reach by bus, bicycle or taxi from most anywhere in London and so many more places to see.

See a show on the Strand.

Although New York City may take pride in its Broadway, the Strand has countless numbers of plays and musicals to see that are absolutely breathtaking. With many different theaters, many in the same area, there is a show for everyone to enjoy.

Take day trips places.

The awesome thing about London is that it's right nearby so many other cool towns, cities and sights in England. If you get the chance, take a brief train ride over to Oxford or Cambridge and see the universities as well as the beautiful towns. Bath is another short trip from London, a beautiful English town that is well worth seeing. Most have heard of the extremely well known site of Stonehenge on the Salisbury Plain. Although some may say it's a bit difficult to get to, it's most definitely not as difficult as it sounds and is well worth seeing. There are countless other full day trips or half days trips right by London.

Go to pubs and places that don't seem that popular.

Pubs are all over in London and England, pop in whenever you can. Look for the places on the streets that don't seem that popular. Usually these are the places where you will find the most interesting people and where you will make the most interesting memories.

Wander the streets and let yourself get lost.

Although it's good to have a plan when traveling, let yourself get lost in London one day. This way, you can fully experience London and the people without having to worry about where you are or where you should be. Who knows, you could end up finding yourself in the coolest spot so far.

London's a vibrant place that you don't want to miss. Get ready to explore, be surprised, and have an adventure.

Cheers!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
