One Place Everyone Should Visit At Least Once

South Dakota will leave you breathless.

South Dakota is a beautiful state that is located in the Midwest. The first time I went to South Dakota was when I was 16 with my family. I did not think I was going to enjoy it at all. However, after exploring around, and going to all the different touristy places, it is now my favorite place.

The scenery is gorgeous; you will see so many mountains. I even climbed up a few and almost fell off of one of the mountains. The walk was really long and hard, but I was glad to say that I made it to the top. On the way to the top, I saw a lot of wildlife such as coyotes, bears, and many squirrels.

I went and also saw one of our famous national landmarks, Mount Rushmore. Since it was my first time, I was really amazed to see how enormous the structure was. I felt super lucky to have the opportunity to see something that not many people are able to see.

My family and I also went to Bear Country U.S.A. I really enjoyed Bear Country U.S.A because we got to see bears roaming all around. To see a bear climb on top of my aunt's vehicle made me laugh, and I will forever remember that moment.

The friendly atmosphere made my trip even better. I got to meet a lot of really nice and friendly people. Learning the history of the Lakota tribe really fascinated me because the land is very sacred, and that was really special to get to experience it.

I think the state of South Dakota was one of my favorite trips I have ever taken. If you are looking to have a fun time hiking, exploring, and shopping, come and visit this gorgeous state.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
