Why A Trio Is Better Than Two

No, three is not a crowd.

Why A Trio Is Better Than Two
Jessica Biondo

I spent my high school years with two best friends, who were also best friends. The three of us were pretty much inseparable, and we did everything together. I once heard someone say "Two is a friendship, three is a family." There could not be more truth to this statement. You see, there are so many things you can get out of a friendship of three, that you cannot get out of a friendship of two. Those of us who have trios know that it's not a competition, and jealousy isn't a problem. All of us have a unique bond and we may have grown closer over different memories and different inside jokes, and that's okay. Here's why having a trio of best friends is such a blessing.

1) You have a fan club.

Sure, it's great when your BFF comes to your events to cheer you on, but what's even better? When a crowd shows up to cheer you on.

2) There's a higher chance of making plans last minute.

You decided to stay in on a Friday night, but at about 8:00pm, you are bored as can be. You call one of your besties, and they're busy. The good news is you have another one to call.

3) Group chats

I don't know about you, but my group chat with my friends is hilarious. They're there to cheer me up, make me laugh, or give me a wake-up call when I need to get serious.

4) More clothes to borrow

Two closets to raid instead of one? Hell yeah. Not to mention, double the shoes, double the make-up selection, pretty much just double everything that a girl could want.

5) You have two, second homes.

Need a place to stay when your parents are bothering you? Well, you have two options when you have two best friends.

6) You have reinforcement when your best friend makes bad decisions.

It's easy to blow off your BFF when they tell you not to talk to that boy, but when two are telling you, it's harder to ignore the consequences of your actions.

7) It can save you money

Ordering pizza with your girls while watching Big Brother or The Bachelorette is a must. This way, the cost gets split up three ways instead of two. You can also feel better about yourself because you didn't eat an entire half of the pizza to yourself.

8) You get to meet and befriend more people.

Even the best of friends have separate likes, and usually, this leads them to have different friends. When you have two best friends, there are more people to meet and get to know.

9) You have double the inspiration.

My best friends are two of the strongest and most inspirational people that I know. They have kind hearts and gracious personalities. My friendship trio has brought me two role models, and two people to admire.

10) You end up with multiple second-parents.

My two best friends are amazing people, so it is obvious that they came from amazing moms. I have gotten to know their moms, and they absolutely love me like their own. When there's a trio, there's a bigger pool of people to call when you get yourselves into a bind.

11) Causing trouble is so much more fun.

Plus, our parents can't get too mad, because we can just take turns on taking the blame.

12) You have a family.

No matter how far away college takes the three of you, you know that you have them. They push you to be your best. They drive you insane sometimes, but you wouldn't have it any other way. I'm so thankful for my two best friends and the individual things that they contribute to my life. They inspire me every day, and I am so proud to be a part of their lives.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
