To my coffee,

Thank you for all the nights you have helped me through so far and the many more to come. I have always had a love for you but it has grown so strong as I ventured into college. Here is a tribute to the caffeine that keeps me sain in college:

Thank you to my coffee

Also to my tea

Thank you to the caffeine

That now makes me, me.

Thank you to all the flavors

Thank you to the milk

Thank you to the sugars

your substitutes help my guilt.

The hours I spend reading

The days I spend awake

You’re always there to help me up

I’ve grown to crave the shake.

You keep me grounded and sain

With you my attitude improves

With you around I do my best

College does that stuff to you.

You’re good hot and cold

And I like you in a cake

But you’re nothing to me

If you can’t make me wake.

College makes me tired

College makes me weak

You build me up and make me strong

You’re the hero I often seek.

I didn’t always need you

Your taste didn't always appeal

But now I have a new life here

And my love for you is real

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
