There's MLB Opening Day then there's Tribe Opening Day. Now call me biased because the Cleveland Indians are my team and have always been my team, but Opening Day for them just has a special feeling to it. Especially with the Tribe making it to Game 7 of the World Series in the 2016 season, with adding some key players to their line-up the 2017 season this season is about to be a great one. This year Opening Day tickets for the Cleveland Indians sold out in three minutes. The Tribe has been on the road for the past week, and with their home opener coming up this Tuesday, you just get this feeling that it is Tribe Time. Leading up to Opening Day and on Opening Day there are just certain events which give you the Tribe feeling, and that's when you know it's Tribe Time.
You know it's tribe time when...
The Cleveland Indians start counting down to opening day.
When "It's tribe time now" starts playing on the radio.
Not being able to tell whether Corey Kluber is excited, nervous, happy, skeptical, or amused for Opening Day.
But let's be honest, Kluber is actually super happy to be playing at home.
Tom Hamilton's voice broadcasting the game and calling home runs.
Some people might even say they would listen to him over watching the game on tv.
When John Adams starts
He has played the drum in the bleachers in nearly every Cleveland Indians home game since 1973.
Francisco Lindor lighting up the ball field with his smile.
Carlos Santana kissing and rubbing Terry Francona's head before every game for good luck.
When you start seeing everyone wearing tribe gear. Something about this time of year, you can't look around anywhere without seeing something in Northeast Ohio that says Cleveland Indians or someone supporting the team.
Jose Ramierez's helmet falling off as he runs the bases.
The feeling you get when you step into Progressive Field. It's nervous, excited, happy, thrilled, and a whole lot of mixed emotions to see your team play.
After the National Anthem, you hear "Play Ball" at Progressive Field, and you know it's finally game time.
And most importantly when the Tribe wins and everyone is cheering at the top of their lungs, even the players are like family and celebrating like they just won the World Series in a regular season game.
The season might have started a little over a week ago, but this Tuesday the Cleveland Indians are going home, and that means...It's Tribe Time Now! This is about to be a season to remember.
