Back to school season is upon us and while many are in denial, there’s no escaping what’s to come. While it’s hard to say goodbye to friends, spontaneous road trips, and the warm summer sun, the one thing we can look forward to is the inevitable back-to-school shopping.

While there are a number of things on our shoppings lists, we should pay close attention to the accessories we use. Outfits change on a daily basis but one key piece that (almost) always stays the same is the bag. Every trendsetter hopes to use one that is unlike the ones used by those one around us – a piece isn’t only unique but also represents who we are.

1. The Backpack - Matt and Nat ‘Vignelli' Backpack

Backpacks are the most common bag students carry around. In a sea of Northface, Hershel and Fjällräven backpacks, stand out from the crowd with the Vignelli leather backpack – the choice bag for students who want the convenience of this style but look while using it.

2. The Tote - Madewell ‘Transport’ Tote

When it comes to favorite school bag styles, totes are a close second to the backpack. Whether it’s an 8 a.m. class or a late night shift or a dinner date, the versatile and ever reliable Transport Tote is the perfect choice for the busy student – easy to stuff notebooks into, and quick to remove things from.

3. The Clutch - This is Ground ‘Mod 2’

Compact, functional, and timeless – the bag for the girl-on-the-go. With various compartments, the Mod 2 will keep your everyday university needs in one place while maintaining the cool aesthetic everyone aims for.

4. The Crossbody - Warehouse ‘Clean Saddle’ Bag

Small purses aren’t exactly what one would consider to be a school bag, but for those that only attend classes with paper and pen, a cross body is the best option. The Clean Saddle bag’s size is practical and convenient while big enough for a medium-sized notebook, pens, phone and wallet.

5. The Satchel - Rebecca Minkoff ‘Regan’ Satchel

A bigger alternative to the crossbody, the satchel is another versatile and trouble-free option for students. The Regan can carry every hard-at-work girl's needs – laptop for meetings, notebooks for classes and make-up for the in-between touch ups. While its practical purpose is accounted for, the trendy color will reveal the inner trend-loving you.

6. The Gym Bag - LuluLemon ‘Yin Time (Heat)’ Bag

There’s nothing like lugging around your backpack and duffel bag to and from classes. Cut your losses, switch bags and give yourself a break. This bag won’t only keep your gym clothes and books in one place but it’s a guarantee your outfit will be a 10/10 at the same time. The Yin Time (Heat) bag is clearly the stylish athlete’s favorite.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
