Fashion is something that is innovative. It’s a configuration that works to push new boundaries in a variety of forms. Through this, the old and the new are combined in order to create something extraordinary.

Fashion is always in a revolving cycle. Often times we see old styles recycled into more contemporary forms. The mixing of old components with modern day pieces essentially develops a new profound love for the once dated fads. This attribute to the past has become a popular thing in fashion lately. More recently, the strike of the nineties.

For this era, the ability to mix and match different elements is key to a unique look. This carefree, minimalist expression is reflective of the rebelliousness of those expressing the look.

Common pieces include:

-Overalls

Many think that these are a bit childish and can almost look frumpy however, there are many alterations to this original basic fashion. Fitted body suits, short versions and dresses have been designed in a hip way in a variety of colors and materials.

-Slip dresses

This simple and versitile piece that can be easily layered over t-shirts, sweaters or all dresses.

-Scrunchies

Many may disagree with how fashionable this is but it is actually a super cute and easy way for one to tame their mane of hair.

-Denim

Denim anything is always cute and almost never goes out of style. It is truly a staple in any closet. The best part of the revival of this trend is that it is now acceptable to where the beloved denim on denim.

-Leather jacket

This universal piece is essential to everyday wear. The ability to mix and match it with other articles of clothing provides your wardrobe with endless possibilities. Dress it up or down and you’ll have a complete look in no time.

-Chokers

A simple yet edgy touch on any outfit. This accessory is a bold way to finish off any outfit.

-Crop tops

A surprisingly flattering piece that accentuates the thinest part of your body (the ribcage) and can be paired with just about anything.

-Off the shoulder

An elegant, fun and flirty way to expose the shoulder.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
