The hot weather will gradually leave us, forcing those to make changes in clothing style in order to gear up for fall. Manufactures have been transferring new trends from fashion runways to prepare our stores for the latest garment styles that will be available shortly for consumers to purchase. The trends listed below are nine of what are said to be some of the hottest styles this fall.

1. Off-The-Shoulder Dresses

The ever-so-popular trend of shoulder-less tops will strongly carry into the fall season. Black off-the-shoulder dresses will carry into the top trend list this fall and will continue to give wearers a sleek, sexy and feminine look.

2. Statement Furs

Fur is predicted to strongly enter the fall trend list. You probably have already seen the faux fur key-chains that are gaining popularity among consumers. This is an early hint that you will be seeing more fur for fall, whether on coats, scarves, shoes, and other accessories.

3. Velvet

Velvet is an absolute must-have for autumn. This fabric will add extra elegance to whatever ensemble you may be wearing. Velvet dresses, tops, shoes, and accessories will soon be lining the walls of the stores.

4. Pink+Yellow

7. One-Shouldered Garments

If you're not feeling the trend of the off-the-shoulder garments, this craze may be for you. The one-shouldered look is said to also be very-in this fall. Avante-garde tops can give your style a unique spin and one of your shoulders a little mystery when dressing up.

8. Metallic Dresses

Shiny dresses were recently seen all over the runway and will be making a loud statement during the upcoming season. Any dresses or garments with metallic hardware or that add additional shiny detail to your outfit are said to be right on track of what's hot for fall!

9. Aurora Red

Aurora Red is reported as a key color on the Pantone Fashion Color Report of Fall 2016. This shade made a lasting impression on the runways, as multiple designers showcased autumn-wear in these shades of red.

The trends mentioned above are a fun and unique hint of the clothing styles and colors you will be seeing a lot of this fall. Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
