One Tree Hill Has Much More Meaning Behind It

So, I started watching a tv show on Netflix. If you haven't seen it, you've at least heard of it-One Tree Hill aka OTH. My mom watched it, and a couple of my friends at college watch it. So I figured I'd give it a try so I have something to keep me partially entertained during the summer when I'm not doing anything. Despite me reading the reviews of it, and reading the descriptions of every episode, I got hooked. Even though OTH is basically about high school basketball, relationships, and friendships, it always has a life lesson behind the episode, and I really loved that. Even when they all became adults and all went their separate ways, everything they went through, whether it was Nathan & Haley, or Brooke & Julian, they all had a positive outcome from every situation that came their way. No matter what they went through, the OTH clan knew that they had each other and that's all that matters. Anyways, I decided to post a couple of the quotes from OTH that really stuck with me.

So basically Nathan & Haley are relationship goals. And I am obsessed with Peyton's hair. Brooke Davis surprisingly, is my spirit animal. Everyone needs a friendship like B. Davis and P. Sawyer. And I absolutely love Brooke and Mouth's friendship. Skills is the real homie. Dan Scott is an idiot and I wish he'd leave (just kidding that's mean lol). Brooke and Julian are absolutely precious. I love Brooke and Jamie's relationship- so sweet. Literally during half of my time spent watching OTH, I was constantly saying "Lucas stop being dumb and be with Peyton already!" or even "Dan Scott just needs to leave" - for real though. Please enjoy some of my favorite Brooke and Jamie moments because they're my favorite.

1. "People always leave. But sometimes, they come back." -Peyton Sawyer

2. "Have you ever heard the expression 'The best things in life are free'? Well that expression is true. Every once in a while, people step up they rise above themselves and sometimes they surprise you. And sometimes they fall short. Life is funny sometimes. It can push you hard but if you look close enough, you can find hope in the words of children, in the bars of a song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person in the entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back." -Nathan Scott

3. "You can find the good in everybody, if you just give them a chance." -Lucas Scott

4. "At this moment there are 6,470,818,617 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes- all you need is one." -Peyton Sawyer

5. "There's a day when you realize that you're not just a survivor, you're a warrior. You're tougher than anything life throws your way." -Brooke Davis

6. "At the end of the day, you are who you are, and it's probably who you've always been." -Brooke Davis

7. "Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes." -Keith Scott

8. "Your art matters. It's what got me here." -Lucas Scott & Peyton Sawyer

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
