Why is it that majority of us girls want to be treated like a princess or queen? Is it because we want to feel special in the eyes of only one person? The answer is, yes. But, have you thought about treating your man like a prince or king? I hope so, because in my own opinion guys are left out.

I always see posts on twitter talking about how girls want to wake up to Victoria’s Secret clothing, James Avery, roses, chocolates, etc. On rare occasions do I see posts mentioning what a guy wants to wake up to. See where I’m getting at? Men deserve to feel special and attractive just as much as women. I have been with my boyfriend for over two years and I never forget to remind him how handsome he is. We will be driving and approaching a red light when I tell him, “you’re handsome and I love you.” He always responds with a smile saying, “thank you, baby.” He also grabs my hand while steering with the other. Every once in awhile tell your boyfriend he is handsome because they will appreciate it.

In addition to mentioning how attracted you are to your spouse, spoil them a bit. Whenever I’m with my boyfriend and I have extra money in my account, I will buy him something or I’ll pay for dinner. That brings me to another point; I understand that some men have been raised to always pay for dinner. If this is your case, you might want to cook a meal for them instead. You don’t always have to spend money on your spouse but it’s nice. Plus, I always get happy when I see my boyfriend wearing a shirt I bought him. I’m sure us girls love getting shopping sprees to Victoria’s Secret so why can’t we purchase our boyfriends new items?

I feel like many girls get wrapped up in the idea that a man should treat them like a princess and forget to return the love. I am not saying material objects are the only way to show your love. I’m saying that a relationship works both ways. Next time your boyfriend buys you something nice, return the love by doing something nice for him. After all, men deserve to be treated like royalty too.
